Saturday, 16 February was a defining night in the careers of many of the martial artists who competed at ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS.

Some achieved the biggest wins of their careers, while others announced their arrival into ONE Championship with impressive performances that thrilled the crowd at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

On social media, the Muay Thai and mixed martial arts heroes gave their thoughts after a night of intriguing match-ups in the ring.

The top women’s representative of the Philippines’ Team Lakay got back to winning ways at ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS thanks to one of the most complete performances of her career against Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan.

With her split decision win against a previously-undefeated opponent, Gina “Conviction” Iniong is set to move on to big things this year in the women’s atomweight division.

Though she competed more than 2000 kilometers from home, the support for the six-time Philippine wushu champion was deafening in Bangkok. After the dust had settled on her match, she thanked her supporters, as well as her elite teammates, for helping her to get her hand raised.

Shuya “Stealth” Kamikubo put on one of the most dominant performances of the night to defeat “Ottogi” Dae Hwan Kim and take another step forward in the bantamweight division.

Despite his wide margin of victory, the Japanese athlete vowed to improve as he chases a World Title shot.

If he can get his wish and score a finish in his next match, we may see him make that challenge later in 2019.

“Smokin” Jo Nattawut put on a superb performance to overcome the stiff test posed by Samy “AK47” Sana by unanimous decision after a thrilling ONE Super Series Muay Thai contest.

Though he showed his skill and heart to prevail after one of the bouts of the night, the Thai hero said he still he still had a lot to work on to get better for his next assignment.

However, he was still pleased with his win and celebrated the following night in one of Bangkok’s karaoke establishments.

Superlek Kiatmoo9

There were few better showings of offensive Muay Thai excellence than Superlek Kiatmoo9’s performance against Lao Chetra.

In his first ONE Super Series appearance, the 23-year-old unleashed his roundhouse kick over and over again to dominate his rival and take a decision.

Post-bout, he reminded the world why he dedicates his life to his martial art – to support his family – and promised he would continue to improve ahead of his next contest.

Yoshiki Nakahara

In the true spirit of martial arts, Yoshiki Nakahara posed for a picture and showed respect to Emilio “The Honey Badger” Urrutia after their epic battle, which the Japanese hero won by spectacular knockout in round three.

The 26-year-old from Tokyo also thanked everyone who had supported him ahead of his debut in The Home Of Martial Arts.

Just 10 days before ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS, Mongolia’s Amarsanaa Tsogookhuu had no idea he would take on the most important match of his career.

After his defeat of hometown hero Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai in the Impact Arena, the 28-year-old from Ulaanbaatar reflected on the surprise and gratitude he felt after a whirlwind week and a half, that has established him as a lightweight to watch on the global stage of martial arts.

On the flip side of the coin, Wiratchai apologized to his fans for what he considered to be a lackluster display.

However, “OneShin” made no excuses for his performance, and like a true martial artist, focused on picking himself up, working hard to improve, and returning stronger to make it up to his fans.
