5 Reasons To Watch ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel Vs. Menshikov On June 9

Regian Eersel Sinsamut Klinmee ONE Friday Fights 9 56

This Friday, June 9, ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov on Prime Video will broadcast live in U.S. primetime from the world-renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and the card is loaded with ONE Championship’s biggest and brightest martial arts superstars.

The show is topped by an epic Muay Thai World Title clash between dangerous knockout artists, complemented by a fierce Submission Grappling World Championship showdown between heated rivals, and supported by eight high-stakes matchups spread across four different combat sports.

From the looks of it, the global fan base should be prepared for an evening full of knockouts, submissions, and dramatic back-and-forth bangers. But also, the show is littered with compelling storylines that have made each contest even more intriguing.

Now, just days away from the star-studded event, here are five of the biggest reasons why fans must watch ONE Fight Night 11 this coming Friday.

#1 World Champions Face Their Toughest Tests Yet

In the main event, two-sport ONE World Champion Regian Eersel will put his seven-year undefeated streak and lightweight Muay Thai crown on the line against surging powerhouse Dmitry Menshikov.

The Russian challenger enters the bout with an 11-fight winning streak and boasts some of the most devastating punching power the division has ever seen, making him a serious threat to capture Eersel’s 26 pounds of gold in spectacular fashion.

Before that, ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion Kade Ruotolo – widely regarded as the planet’s top pound-for-pound BJJ player – will take on Norwegian sensation Tommy Langaker in a match that has captured the attention of the sport’s most beloved heroes.

Langaker has firmly established himself as Europe’s top male BJJ black belt. He possesses the technical acumen and incredible scrambling ability to not only hang with Ruotolo, but to also possibly spring an upset.

And after exchanging some words at an ADCC after-party last September, both men are eager to mix it up in the Circle and leave with the sweetest victory ever.

#2 Superbon’s First Fight Back Since His World Title Loss

Before he lost the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship to Chingiz Allazov back in January, Superbon Singha Mawynn was considered by many to be the best pound-for-pound striker in the world.

Now, in his first appearance since that heartbreaking defeat, the Thai superstar will begin his climb back to the top when he squares off against Tayfun “Turbine” Ozcan.

While Superbon is eager to remind fans of his supreme power and technical prowess, Ozcan knows he needs to pick up a statement-making victory over the division’s #1-ranked contender to immediately propel himself into the World Title picture.

#3 Superstars Seek Redemption

In addition to the aforementioned Superbon, several other well-established stars will be fighting tooth and nail to bounce back from recent defeats.

Legendary Dutch striker Nieky Holzken will appear for the first time since his devastating knockout loss to Sinsamut Klinmee at ONE X last March.

The 39-year-old veteran will battle Arian Sadikovic in a lightweight kickboxing bout, which serves as his chance to prove that he’s still very much one of the world’s most dangerous stand-up fighters.

Before that, British prodigy Amber Kitchen will be on the hunt for her first victory in ONE as she faces promotional newcomer and four-time ISKA Kickboxing World Champion Martine Michieletto in a strawweight Muay Thai contest.

Finally, fans won’t want to miss the night’s explosive heavyweight kickboxing opener, as Rade Opacic hopes to avenge his only loss in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

The Serbian knockout artist will rematch Guto Inocente, and the victor will undoubtedly look to line up a grudge match with the only man to have ever beaten the both of them in their careers – reigning ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Champion Roman Kryklia.

#4 Top-Ranked MMA Contenders Look To Make Statements

The pivotal showdowns don’t stop there!

Third-ranked featherweight MMA contender Ilya Freymanov aims to build on his jaw-dropping promotional debut and continue his climb to the top when he battles unorthodox Mongolian brawler Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg.

With another impressive victory, the fast-rising Russian star could soon find himself challenging for the ONE Featherweight World Title.

And lower on the card, #4-ranked bantamweight contender Kwon Won Il and #5-ranked Artem Belakh will go to war in what is likely to play out as a classic striker-versus-grappler matchup that’s sure to deliver white-knuckle action from start to finish.

#5 The Debut Of An Undefeated Strawweight Phenom

Undefeated strawweight MMA fighter Mansur Malachiev is one of the most exciting signees in recent history, and the two-division Eagle FC Champion will be thrown directly to the wolves as he’ll square off against surging Filipino knockout artist Jeremy Miado.

With his Dagestani-bred wrestling attack, ruthlessly powerful ground strikes, and 80 percent finishing rate, Malachiev has all the tools to make waves in the talent-laden strawweight division and could land himself in the top-five rankings with a highlight-reel win over a respected veteran like Miado.

Fans can be sure that reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion Jarred Brooks will be paying close attention.
