About Martine Michieletto
Martine Michieletto has achieved tremendous success competing across the globe. But the savvy Italian striker knows that the global stage of ONE Championship will provide her with some of her toughest assignments yet.
Still, she isn’t afraid to tackle those challenges as she looks to add ONE gold to her four ISKA Kickboxing World Championship belts in her trophy cabinet. After all, that spirit and determination to wade into dark waters led her into martial arts.
“The Italian Queen” gave up her athletic career to lace up the gloves in 2010, training under the watchful eyes of Manuel Bethaz at Fighting Club Valle d’Aosta in Pollein, a small town in the northwest of Italy. After working her way up the amateur ranks, Michieletto turned pro in 2012.
Equipped with a solid fight IQ and some blistering combinations, the Italian dynamite didn’t take long to stack up her collection of belts, including a national title, European gold, and the ISKA strap in 2015. Then in 2018, she represented Italy at the IFMA Muay Thai World Championships, where she achieved glory by becoming the first athlete from her country to grab a gold medal at the tournament.
What came next was a chance of a lifetime for the 30-year-old striker, an opportunity to join the largest striking roster in martial arts – ONE Championship.
“The Italian Queen” will now look to open her account at The Home of Martial Arts and build on her impressive 48-13 resume against British striking sensation Amber Kitchen at ONE Fight Night 11.
