Two new bouts have been confirmed for ONE: KING OF THE JUNGLE in Singapore including a pivotal match-up at the top of the women’s atomweight division.
Japan’s Yamaguchi is riding a four-bout winning streak and aims to add another victory to stay on track for a third bout with “Unstoppable” Angela Lee for the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Title.
However, her upcoming opponent from the Philippines could hijack her momentum by taking her out at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The undefeated Filipina burst into The Home Of Martial Arts last year with a stunning defeat of Jihin “Shadowcat” Radzuan on the Malaysian’s home turf.
A second victory in a row against an experienced competitor on the global stage would give her a fantastic argument to jump into the fray and offer Lee a fresh challenge later this year.
Also on the card, a strawweight match-up has been set between two athletes who got back to winning ways at the end of 2019.
Indonesia’s Stefer “The Lion” Rahardian recorded an emotional victory against Adrian “Papua Badboy” Mattheis at home in Indonesia last October, and he will go a long way toward returning to the sharp end of the division if he can make it two in a row against a Muay Thai legend.
“Kru Rong” Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke is also a former ONE World Champion in mixed martial arts, and he got back on track last November with a TKO win against Muhammad “The Spider” Imran in his adopted hometown of Singapore.
ONE: KING OF THE JUNGLE will feature two World Title bouts at the top of the bill as Stamp Fairtex defends her ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Championship against Janet “JT” Todd and Sam-A Gaiyanghadao faces Rocky Ogden for the inaugural ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship.
