Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 178 On November 13
The world’s largest martial arts organization has an epic weekend planned for Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 13.
After the quarterfinals of the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix go down at The Inner Circle 38 – which airs exclusively for members at live.onefc.com – ONE Friday Fights 178 will feature nine more bouts across Muay Thai and MMA, with all the athletes chasing a US$100,000 contract and a spot on ONE Championship’s main roster.
In the main event, four-time Muay Thai World Champion Yodlekpet Or Atchariya meets Lethwei standout Kyaw Swar Win in a bantamweight Muay Thai contest.
Nicknamed “The Destroyer,” the 31-year-old Yodlekpet owns one Lumpinee Stadium World Championship and three Rajadamnern Stadium World Titles, and he was honored as the 2017 Siam Sports Fighter of the Year.
He has won three of his last four bouts in ONE, including a unanimous decision over Saw Min Min at ONE Friday Fights 157 and a third-round knockout of Gingsanglek Wor Kumchamnarn at ONE Friday Fights 147.
With a never-back-down style, Yodlekpet continues to close in on the life-changing six-figure deal, and another win could get him within arm’s reach of what every fighter who competes on the weekly platform ultimately seeks.
Standing across from him, the 24-year-old Kyaw Swar Win brings a 59-3 career record and the momentum of a unanimous decision over Slatan Jitmuangnon at ONE Friday Fights 158. The Fairtex Training Center representative also stopped Muga by second-round TKO at ONE Friday Fights 139.
In the co-main event, Superlek Jitmuangnon looks to move to 3-0 in ONE when he meets Azerbaijan’s Anar Mammadov in another bantamweight Muay Thai bout.
The 23-year-old Superlek has won both of his ONE appearances by unanimous decision, including a victory over Othman Rhouni at ONE Friday Fights 172 and another over Sonrak Fairtex. The Jitmuangnon Gym representative brings 61 career wins into this contest.
Although he’s one of the newer faces to compete on ONE Friday Fights, Superlek is quickly making a name for himself in the promotion. And another victory might be the catalyst he needs to face the upper echelon on the series next time around.
Mammadov, 30, trains out of Team Mehdi Zatout and brings a kickboxing background and a 12-5 professional record. Known as “Atilla,” he scored a second-round TKO of Komawut FA Group just 44 seconds into the frame at ONE Friday Fights 128.
