Eersel Vs. Murtazaev, Stamp Vs. Phogat Top ONE: WINTER WARRIORS

ONE: WINTER WARRIORS

ONE Championship is ready to heat up the coldest season of the year with some of the hottest martial arts talent on the planet.

The world’s largest martial arts organization returns to the Singapore Indoor Stadium with ONE: WINTER WARRIORS on Friday, 3 December, and the six-bout card will be topped by a pair of World Title matchups.

In the main event, reigning ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion Regian “The Immortal” Eersel will defend the gold against Islam Murtazaev.

Also, in the co-main event, former two-sport queen Stamp Fairtex takes on wrestling megastar Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat in the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix Championship Final.

Regian Eersel holds the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title belt

Eersel has been absolutely flawless during his time on the global stage.

The Dutch-Surinamese star owns a 56-4 career record and has won all five of his bouts under the ONE banner. Those include a pair of victories over Nieky “The Natural” Holzken and a shutout win over Mustapha “Dynamite” Haida.

Now, he’ll make his third ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title defense against Murtazaev, who he was originally scheduled to face earlier this year.

Murtazaev, who trains alongside Russian compatriot and light heavyweight star Beybulat Isaev, brings a 20-4 professional record into the tilt.

Though it’s his debut, he has been studying Eersel for months and believes he has the key to dethrone the division’s reigning king in his promotional debut.

Stamp and Ritu Phogat square-off inside the Circle at ONE: NEXTGEN.

Before that clash, the global fan base will finally see the conclusion of the greatest women’s mixed martial arts tournament in history.

Stamp – the former ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion – has ripped through the competition.

The Thai avenged her only mixed martial arts loss by edging out Alyona Rassohyna via split decision in the quarterfinals in August, and then she took out Julie Mezabarba in the semifinals last month.

But her opponent, Phogat, has enjoyed a magical run in the tournament as well.

“The Indian Tigress” was nearly finished by Chinese knockout artist Meng Bo in the first round of their quarterfinal bout in August, but she persevered and brilliantly utilized her world-class grappling to earn a jaw-dropping comeback victory.

Two months later, she displayed her grappling dominance over Team Lakay’s Jenelyn Olsim in the semifinals to earn a unanimous decision win and a spot in the tournament finale.

Now, whoever emerges victorious from the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix Championship Final will receive the prestigious silver belt and a shot at the division’s reigning queen, “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, in 2022.

Chinese kickboxing superstar Qiu Jianliang

There’s even more heat on the card, too.

“Intelligent Tank” Qiu Jianliang will make his highly anticipated promotional debut against #3-ranked bantamweight kickboxing contender Hiroki Akimoto.

BJJ living legend Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida will take the next step in his transition to mixed martial arts when he faces battle-hardened heavyweight contender “Mighty Warrior” Kang Ji Won.

Plus, #3-ranked lightweight Saygid “Dagi” Guseyn Arslanaliev runs it back with #5-ranked Timofey Nastyukhin in a rematch of their 2018 firefight, and #3-ranked flyweight contender Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu opens the show with Chinese knockout artist “Wolf Warrior” Hu Yong.
