“Wolf Warrior” Hu Yong

“Wolf Warrior” Hu Yong has been taking one step at a time throughout his professional mixed martial arts journey, and his decision to hone his craft in a very calculated manner has led him to the place he calls home today – ONE Championship. 

The Beijing native first discovered martial arts through sanda as a teenager. However, it didn’t take long for Hu to switch his attention to the all-encompassing sport of MMA a couple of years later.  

That was when he discovered Fighting Bros Club, a dojo that has helped him evolve from a stand-up specialist into a well-rounded competitor. 

After picking up a series of wins all by highlight-reel finishes, “Wolf Warrior” took on the challenge of competing in ONE Hero Series, a stage where he had to battle the brightest prospects in China for a spot on the main roster of ONE. 

As he had always done in the past, he thoroughly impressed, going on a phenomenal 4-0 run in the series to get a well-deserved place in the world’s largest martial arts organization.  

So far, the Chinese phenom has earned two wins from three outings. Most recently, Hu put former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio to sleep. Next, he shares the global stage with South Korean star “Dynamic” Woo Sung Hoon at ONE Fight Night 11.
