ONE Friday Fights 60 is locked and loaded – ready to deliver another thrilling lineup of action on April 26.
There are 12 bouts lined up for the weekly Asia primetime event at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with the usual helping of world-class Muay Thai, plus support in the mixed martial arts and submission grappling divisions.
In the main event, Suriyanlek Por Yenying takes on Rittidet Sor Sommai in a 132-pound catchweight Muay Thai battle that is guaranteed to cap off the proceedings in style.
Although he hasn’t won them all, Suriyanlek’s six fights in ONE have all had the Lumpinee fans on their feet.
The 27-year-old Thai star has put together a 4-2 record in the organization, with four knockout victories and two decision losses. He’s showcased plenty of heart to pick himself off the canvas and win, as well as the skills to mix it up with some high-level opponents.
Opposite him, Rittidet has also delivered nothing but excitement in ONE.
With a 3-2 mark, he matches Suriyanlek’s 100 percent finishing ratio in victories, meaning the odds of these two sluggers going the distance are slim.
Fans can’t take their eyes off this clash for a second, with chaos only ever a split second away.
Earlier, two newcomers will duke it out in a 130-pound Muay Thai clash, but they already have proven pedigrees on the Thai circuit.
Focus Adsanpatong is a former Channel 7 Stadium Muay Thai Champion and Fighter of the Year with an impressive resume, and he’ll face Comeback TK Yutthana, a dangerous 21-year-old with serious knockout power.
Also in the Muay Thai ranks, Khunponnoi Sor Sommai is coming off back-to-back KO wins for a matchup with Songfangkhong FA Group, who is determined to pick up a victory in their 136-pound catchweight bout after a tough run in ONE Friday Fights.
Three-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Suakim Sor Jor Thongprajin is another fighter on the hunt after struggling to find his feet in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
Despite racking up top accolades on the elite Bangkok circuit, he hasn’t been able to find the same success in ONE, and he knows this 140-pound catchweight battle with Deniz Demirkapu is crucial in order to mount a resurgence.
There’s much more to look forward to in “the art of eight limbs,” but the MMA and submission grappling contests should provide an entertaining change of pace.
Unbeaten Australian athlete Coopar “Rush” Royal will meet Japan’s Kaito Oda in a flyweight MMA contest, and Estonia’s first BJJ black belt, Liisi Vaht, will open the show against Japanese ground specialist Natsuki Takamoto in the strawweight submission grappling ranks.
