Full Card Revealed For The Inner Circle 27 On August 21
ONE Championship returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, August 21, with another subscriber-exclusive card for members of The Inner Circle, streaming live at live.onefc.com.
The Inner Circle 27 is headlined by a high-stakes atomweight Muay Thai main event between two of the division’s most established knockout artists, topping a thrilling card that also features a heavy-handed Lethwei practitioner looking to make a massive statement.
In the main event, Songchainoi Kiatsongrit looks to bounce back into the win column when he takes on Banluelok Sitwatcharachai in explosive atomweight Muay Thai action.
“Mini-Hulk” has built one of the most compelling resumes in the atomweight division over his tenure on the weekly platform. The Kiatsongrit Muay Thai Gym product notably went the full five rounds with reigning ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka at ONE SAMURAI 1 this past April. While he dropped a decision on the judges’ scorecards, Songchainoi walked away with the absolute conviction that he belongs at the very top of the weight class.
A victory over Banluelok — one of the division’s most dangerous finishers — would instantly put him firmly back in the World Title picture.
However, Banluelok is exactly the kind of elite opponent that will test that conviction. The 29-year-old standout has built his ONE Championship career on spectacular stoppages.
His impressive highlight reel includes a first-round knockout of Nuatoranee Jitmuangnon, a third-round KO of Tubtimthong IngfahhotelUbon at ONE Friday Fights 84, a first-round TKO of Petbanrai Singha Mawynn at ONE Friday Fights 106, and most recently, a third-round knockout of Rak Erawan at ONE Friday Fights 157.
His only defeat under the ONE banner came against Nadaka at ONE Friday Fights 114 — the exact same man Songchainoi pushed for five grueling rounds. With both explosive fighters actively hunting their way back to the front of the World Title queue, the winner is guaranteed to take a significant step forward.
In the co-main event, Komawut FA Group faces Kyaw Swar Win in a bantamweight Muay Thai showdown. The matchup brings together a young Thai hopeful and a Lethwei practitioner from Myanmar who has already made his dangerous presence known on the global stage with two solid victories.
Komawut FA Group has run into a rough patch as of late, and he is desperate to break through with a much-needed victory to reverse his recent fortunes. Standing in his way is the deeply impressive Burmese striker.
Kyaw Swar Win is coming off a well-rounded performance against Slatan Jitmuangnon at ONE Friday Fights 158 this past June. He is now looking to put on another show-stopping performance to prove to the top brass that he deserves a coveted spot on the main roster.
Known for being incredibly durable and difficult to hurt at this elite level, the promising young talent vows to bring absolute fireworks to Lumpinee Stadium.
