Superbon Vs. Allazov, Musumeci Vs. Sousa World Title Fights Added To ONE On Prime Video 2

Superbon Singha Mawynn successfully defends the Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship against Marat Grigorian at ONE X

After announcing that Angela Lee vs. Xiong Jin Nan III will headline its North American primetime event on September 30, ONE Championship has revealed two more sizzling World Title fights for the stacked card.

At ONE on Prime Video 2, reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn will defend his belt against top-ranked contender and ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Champion Chingiz Allazov.

In the other co-main event, multiple-time BJJ World Champion Mikey Musumeci will face his longtime foe and veteran star Cleber Sousa for the inaugural ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Title.

Superbon claimed the inaugural ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title in stunning fashion when he knocked out kickboxing GOAT Giorgio Petrosyan with a head kick in October 2021.

The Thai superstar followed that up with another masterful performance five months later, as he ripped through pound-for-pound great Marat Grigorian en route to a unanimous decision victory.

Now, he returns against Allazov, who earned this crack at the gold with a string of terrific victories in the recent ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix.

“Chinga” scored a 39-second KO of 2019 Grand Prix finalist Samy Sana in the quarterfinals, finished “Smokin” Jo Nattawut in the semifinals, and then blasted through Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the tournament finale at ONE X this past March.

With his latest victory, the 29-year-old earned the prestigious silver Grand Prix belt, the division’s #1 contender spot, and the next challenge of reigning World Champion Superbon.

History will also be made at ONE on Prime Video 2, as the promotion will hold its first-ever World Title bout in submission grappling – a matchup that could also conclude a five-year rivalry.

Sousa drew first blood when he defeated Musumeci via referee’s decision at the IBJJF 2017 Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

But the Italian-American phenom would exact his revenge one month later, as he beat Sousa on points at the 2017 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

Now, the two will engage in a rubber match that promises a golden World Title belt – and a place in BJJ lore – to the winner.
