Nong-O To Defend World Title Against Ramazanov At ONE X

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao defends the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title against Alaverdi Ramazanov

ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will make his fifth World Title defense at ONE Championship’s biggest event in its decade-long history.

The Thai legend puts his coveted belt on the line against former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov at ONE X, which emanates live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday, 26 March.

Nong-O, a true living legend of the sport who owns a 262-54-1 career record, has been flawless ever since he came out of retirement to compete in ONE Super Series in April 2018.

The Singapore-based Thai has won all seven of his fights on the global stage, claimed the inaugural ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title with a dominant performance in February 2019, and successfully defended the crown four times.

At ONE X, he meets Ramazanov, a tall and lanky Dagestani striker who has proven to be one of the most dangerous competitors in the division.

Ramazanov owns a 62-6 professional record in the striking arts, as well as a slew of highlight-reel knockouts.

The Dagestani phenom claimed the inaugural ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title in December 2019, but he lost the gold to Capitan Petchyindee Academy in January 2021.

However, Ramazanov returned to Muay Thai and bounced back in extraordinary fashion. He knocked out the seemingly impenetrable Pongsiri PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym in the first round of their ONE: NEXTGEN III co-main event showdown last November.

That stellar performance earned “Babyface Killer” the #4-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender spot and the next crack at Nong-O’s crown.

Three other bouts were previously confirmed for ONE X.

ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee defends her gold against ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix Champion Stamp Fairtex in the main event.

Also, in the men’s division, ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes puts his belt on the line against #2-ranked contender Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu.

Finally, the show features the highly anticipated special rules super-fight between ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon and MMA GOAT Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson.
