Kryklia Out, Grigorian-Kondratev To Headline ONE: BIG BANG
There have been some last-minute changes made to the card for ONE: BIG BANG on Friday, 4 December.
ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Champion Roman Kryklia and Greco-Roman Wrestling World Champion Amir Aliakbari will be withdrawing from their respective matches as a result of COVID-19 safety protocols.
Kryklia tested negative for COVID-19. However, he is under quarantine after coming into close contact with an individual who tested positive on 27 November.
While Aliakbari tested positive for COVID-19 prior to his fight, serological tests showed that this was due to a past infection. He has been discharged from the hospital but will not participate in tonight’s event as an added precaution.
Both Aliakbari and Kryklia tested negative for COVID-19 prior to flying into Singapore.
Now, the thrilling ONE Super Series featherweight matchup between three-time Kickboxing World Champion Marat Grigorian and two-time Russian Kickboxing Champion Ivan Kondratev will serve as the night’s main event.
Additionally, Murat “The Butcher” Aygun, who was originally supposed to challenge Kryklia for the gold, has agreed to fight a new opponent.
The Dutch-Turkish striker will now square off with Brazilian Kickboxing Champion Anderson “Braddock” Silva in a ONE Super Series light heavyweight kickboxing affair.
Also, the undercard will now feature two-time K-1 World Max Champion Andy “Souwer Power” Souwer taking on WPMF World Champion Zhang Chunyu, as well as a battle between rising atomweight stars Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan and Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen.
