Full Card Revealed For ONE Fight Night 22: Sundell Vs. Diachkova On May 3
ONE Championship’s next U.S. primetime offering is primed to produce another electrifying lineup of martial arts action.
A trio of high-stakes battles were previously revealed for ONE Fight Night 22: Sundell vs. Diachkova on Prime Video on May 3, including the ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title main event between Smilla Sundell and Natalia Diachkova.
Now, the entire 11-bout card is officially confirmed for the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Hiroki Akimoto will make his first appearance since 2022 when he takes on debuting Chinese sensation Wei Rui in a pivotal clash that could land either man a shot at current divisional king Jonathan “The General” Haggerty.
Before that, 24-year-old lightweight MMA phenom Maurice Abevi will square off with respected Chinese veteran Zhang Lipeng. With both athletes coming off impressive victories, a win would push them closer to the divisional crown.
Also, Chinese rising star “Wolf Warrior” Hu Yong will bring an impressive three-fight winning streak into a crucial flyweight MMA matchup against Australian fan favorite and current #4-ranked contender Reece McLaren.
Earlier on the card, lightweight Muay Thai standout Rungrawee “Legatron” Sitsongpeenong will lace up the bigger gloves for his ONE kickboxing debut, and he’s throwing himself into the deep end against dangerous Bulgarian knockout artist Bogdan Shumarov.
Shumarov is 2-0 in ONE with a pair of highlight-reel stoppages, and he knows that a third straight win would put him within reach of 26 pounds of gold.
In women’s atomweight MMA action, unbeaten Japanese powerhouse Chihiro Sawada will take on Thai-French star Noelle “Lil’ Monkey” Grandjean in a fight that has action written all over it.
And Thailand’s own Thongpoon PK Saenchai – beloved for his fearless approach to combat and his flamboyant personality – will look to make it two wins in a row when he battles Moroccan striker Zakaria El Jamari in a strawweight Muay Thai clash.
El Jamari stumbled in his ONE debut in March but hopes to meet his lofty expectations in this sophomore appearance.
Elite ground fighting will also be on display, as multiple-time IBJJF World Champion Bianca Basilio will return to action in a 132-pound catchweight submission grappling bout against promotional newcomer Nanami Ichikawa.
And in the show’s opening contest, American striker Sean Climaco will make his ONE debut in an intriguing flyweight Muay Thai showdown with Josue “Tuzo” Cruz.
