About Wei Rui
Bantamweight kickboxing standout Wei Rui is one of the most decorated strikers to land on the ONE Championship roster.
“Demon Blade” has long been regarded as the very best kickboxer in China, with multiple K-1 Championships to his name.
Wei grew up in the Henan province and showed early promise as a practitioner of the Chinese martial art of sanda.
The prodigious talent became one of his country’s top sanda athletes. However, he soon recognized that to support his family, he would have to pursue the more lucrative paydays on offer in the sport of kickboxing.
His skills transferred seamlessly into the sport and, in 2017, he became the fighting pride of China when he won the grueling K-1 Lightweight World Grand Prix.
In 2024, Wei came to the world’s largest martial arts organization riding an incredible 20-fight winning streak and with the dream of holding a coveted ONE World Title.
