Smilla Sundell To Defend Muay Thai World Title Against Natalia Diachkova At ONE Fight Night 22 On May 3

Smilla Sundell Allycia Hellen Rodrigues ONE Fight Night 14 23

The main event of ONE Fight Night 22 on Prime Video will see two of Muay Thai’s most talented athletes throw down with 26 pounds of gold on the line.

In U.S. primetime on Friday, May 3, reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Smilla “The Hurricane” Sundell will defend her title against surging knockout artist Natalia “Karelian Lynx” Diachkova.

The intriguing battle will go down at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and is sure to draw the attention of striking fans from around the globe.

At just 19 years old, Sundell has already established herself as a pound-for-pound powerhouse.

The towering Swede is undefeated across four bouts in the world’s largest martial arts organization, including a pair of impressive World Title victories.

She’ll come into this contest following her third-round stoppage win over ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues last September at ONE Fight Night 14 on Prime Video.

With her well-rounded skill set, shocking punching power, relentless pacing, and ruthless finishing instincts, “The Hurricane” has looked nothing short of dominant during her ONE tenure.

Diachkova, though, might be the woman to end the titleholder’s reign of terror.

The 29-year-old Russian burst into ONE Championship last year, reeling off a pair of first-round knockouts and a lopsided decision win in the ONE Friday Fights event series.

Then at ONE Friday Fights 55, Diachkova finished Chellina Chirino in highlight-reel fashion to secure a coveted six-figure contract with ONE and a spot on the organization’s global roster. That victory also solidified her status as a legitimate contender for the strawweight Muay Thai belt.

Now, “Karelian Lynx” will put her elite knockout power to the ultimate test against Sundell as she looks to claim the ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title and announce herself as a true global superstar.

Given each woman’s penchant for all-action wars and top-flight skills in every aspect of striking, fans should buckle up for an unforgettable classic on May 3.
