Hiroba Minowa

Hiroba Minowa has dedicated his life to martial arts, and it’s paid off handsomely. His father encouraged him to start training in MMA when he was 12 years old, and it didn’t take long before the Japanese phenom started to shine in the sport.

By the time Minowa was in middle school, he had already begun honing his mixed martial arts skills by competing in junior Shooto events. His dedication to the sport continued throughout his high school years, leading him to garner multiple amateur Shooto titles and place third in a national Shooto tournament.

At just 16 years old, Minowa stunned fans when he made his professional MMA debut and defeated his opponent with his impressive grappling skills. These skills have continued to develop over the years, resulting in the majority of his professional victories coming from submissions. His impressive career was highlighted when, at only 21 years of age, Minowa became the only fighter in history to compete in Shooto as a junior, amateur, and professional before going on to win the Shooto Strawweight Championship.

Minowa made Japan proud in his ONE Championship debut at the end of 2020, where he secured a split-decision win against Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang at ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III. Now, the aspiring fighter is determined to ascend the ranks and earn his shot at the ONE Strawweight World Championship.
