3 Fights That Could Steal The Show At ONE On Prime Video 4: Abbasov Vs. Lee

MMA fighter John Lineker squares off against Kevin Belingon in the main event of ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III

A pair of World Champion vs. World Champion contests will headline ONE on Prime Video 4: Abbasov vs. Lee this Friday, November 18, but there are plenty of other exciting matchups on the card.

The nine-bout lineup features Muay Thai, MMA, and submission grappling action, with top-ranked contenders, established veterans, and rising stars all ready to lay everything on the line.

Every fight could be a barnburner, but we’ve chosen three potential show-stealers at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

#1 Cosmo Alexandre vs. Juan Cervantes

Cosmo Alexandre and Juan Cervantes will return for a welterweight Muay Thai clash that has all of the ingredients of a classic.

Alexandre’s last outing was his shocking knockout of American star Sage Northcutt under MMA rules, but the Brazilian striking legend is more at home in kickboxing and Muay Thai.

With heavy punches, kicks, and knees, the 40-year-old “Good Boy” can finish fights with an array of weapons, although Cervantes showed incredible durability in his lone ONE outing to date.

The English athlete took everything Santino Verbeek had to offer in a tough start to their contest, before turning the tables in round three with some high-flying knees that almost toppled the Dutchman.

Given Cervantes’ toughness and conditioning, he could try to absorb Alexandre’s pressure as he aims for the biggest victory of his career. However, “Good Boy” will want to produce another emphatic KO to prove he’s still among the elite.

#2 Kevin Belingon vs. Kim Jae Woong

Former #2-ranked featherweight contender Kim Jae Woong is debuting at bantamweight against the division’s most experienced competitor of all time, Kevin Belingon.

“The Fighting God” regularly showcased his stopping power at the higher weight class, and he’ll hope to kick-start another run toward the gold against the 35-year-old Belingon.

Beating the former ONE Bantamweight World Champion would be a huge step toward that goal, but “The Silencer’s” own powerful striking skills will make for an intense contest.

While Kim owns a concussive boxing attack, his Filipino rival brings an explosive kicking arsenal, and their styles should make for an epic battle on the feet.

This could be Belingon’s last chance to return to the upper echelon, while the 29-year-old South Korean wants to make an immediate impact in his new division.

With all of that in mind, both men will have plenty to fuel their fire when they square off in “The Lion City.”

#3 Jonathan Haggerty vs. Vladimir Kuzmin

Jonathan Haggerty will go in the other direction and move up to bantamweight in the ONE on Prime Video 4 lead card headliner.

The former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion has outgrown his old division, and he wants to begin his new journey with a bang after some disappointing withdrawals from his recently scheduled fights.

The Londoner’s slick, powerful striking repertoire always makes for exciting battles, but will his power translate to the higher weight class against Vladimir Kuzmin?

For his part, the Russian showed a diverse array of attacks in his dominant debut win over Chris Shaw, and he came up narrowly short against Thai star Muangthai PK.Saenchai last time out.

Both men use every tool available in “the art of eight limbs” to score damage on their opponents, teeing up a frenetic clash between the all-action duo.

Haggerty will aim to secure a decisive victory and crack the top five in his new weight class, while Kuzmin will look to stop the British superstar in his tracks and emerge as a serious contender.
