Jonathan Di Bella Vs. Prajanchai World Title Clash Rebooked For ONE Friday Fights 68 On June 28

Jonathan Di Bella Danial Williams ONE Fight Night 15 7

One of the most anticipated matchups in the sport of kickboxing is now headed to ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai will take his shot at two-sport glory when he meets former ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan Di Bella for the vacant ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title.

Prajanchai was originally scheduled to challenge Di Bella for the belt in April at ONE Friday Fights 58, but after Di Bella fell ill and was unable to meet hydration requirements at weigh-ins, the contest was called off and he was stripped of the World Title

Now, with their battle back on the calendar, fans can look forward to a true barnburner.

A veteran of nearly 400 professional bouts, Prajanchai is among the planet’s most decorated strikers, revered for his well-rounded game, incredible technical prowess, and seemingly granite chin.

Last December, the Thai superstar avenged his one and only loss in ONE when he made quick work of Joseph “The Hurricane” Lasiri to reclaim the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title.

Before that, at ONE Friday Fights 34, Prajanchai proved his Muay Thai skills translated to the highest levels of kickboxing when he earned a dominant decision victory over Akram Hamidi in his ONE kickboxing debut.

But this time around, the 29-year-old will be in for a difficult test against Di Bella.

The Montreal native boasts a pristine 12-0 professional kickboxing record in addition to an extensive and decorated amateur career.

While Di Bella has fought just two times in ONE Championship, his pair of World Title wins over Chinese prodigy Zhang Peimian and all-action scrapper “Mini T” Danial Williams cemented his status as one of the organization’s most talented pound-for-pound strikers.

With his blazing hand speed, refined footwork, and shocking kicking power, the former strawweight kickboxing kingpin will aim to defeat a Thai icon in enemy territory and once again wear 26 pounds of ONE gold around his waist.
