5 Reasons To Watch ONE Fight Night 44: Jarvis Vs. Rungrawee II on June 26

George Jarvis slams a fierce right hand at Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong at ONE Friday Fights 85.

The world’s largest martial arts organization returns to Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium with another blockbuster U.S. primetime showcase this Friday, June 26.

ONE Fight Night 44: Jarvis vs. Rungrawee II on Prime Video will feature 16 of the best martial artists across Muay Thai, MMA, and submission grappling, showcasing their skills on one of the year’s most compelling fight cards.

From a rematch with heavy World Title implications at the top of the bill to a clutch of promotional debutants making their mark on the global stage, the action promises to deliver from the opening bell to the final buzzer.

Here are five reasons why fans must watch ONE Fight Night 44 on Prime Video.

#1 A High-Stakes Lightweight Muay Thai Rematch

When George “G-Unit” Jarvis and Rungrawee “Legatron” Sitsongpeenong first shared the ring in November 2024, there was only one man in control from start to finish.

Jarvis dominated the contest before sealing the deal at the 1:15 mark of the third canto with a relentless flurry of elbows and punches. That knockout earned the WBC Muay Thai World Champion a life-changing US$100,000 main roster contract.

Both men have since gone on to challenge ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion Regian “The Immortal” Eersel, but both have also fallen short of the gold. Now with their rematch on the horizon, a victory for either man could position them for a sequel against the Dutch-Surinamese hero.

Rungrawee, armed with a 158-49 career record, arrives in Bangkok desperate for vengeance in this lightweight Muay Thai tiff after pushing Eersel a full five rounds in their clash for the vacant lightweight kickboxing belt at The Inner Circle 10 this past April.

For Jarvis, the math is simple: stopping a man who went the distance with the reinstated two-sport king — something he himself could not do — would make the loudest possible case for his second opportunity at the crown.

When two former World Title challengers with this much hunger share the ring inside the mecca of Muay Thai, the result will be nothing less than spectacular. The main event of ONE Fight Night 44 promises to be no different.

#2 A Lightweight MMA Bout With World Title Implications

Former ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion Ok Rae Yoon and Lucas Gabriel meet in a pivotal clash that carries more weight than its billing suggests.

The ex-divisional king makes his return to the global stage this week in this crucial lightweight MMA battle, and fight fans can expect nothing less than another brilliant all-around performance from the 35-year-old.

Ok claimed the divisional gold in a fiercely contested five-round war in September 2021 before dropping the belt months later, and he has been working his way back ever since. A statement win at ONE Fight Night 44 would put him right back in the World Title conversation.

Standing across from him, however, is one of the most in-form warriors in the lightweight MMA division. Gabriel enjoys a six-year unbeaten run heading into this fixture.

The Nova Uniao Phuket affiliate most recently turned in a commanding performance against Magomed Akaev at ONE Fight Night 40 this past February. Another triumph over someone of Ok’s caliber could considerably accelerate his own timeline toward the divisional belt.

Two well-rounded, dangerous fighters. One result that will shake up the lightweight MMA picture. The division cannot afford to look away.

#3 Fabricio Andrey Looks To Close In On ONE Gold

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Fabricio “Hokage” Andrey arrived in ONE Championship with a point to prove. Through three outings on submission grappling’s grandest stage, he has done exactly that.

The BJJ black belt is a perfect 3-0 on the global stage, building a reputation as one of the most technically complete and dangerous grapplers on the roster. That impressive run earned him a shot at ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion Kade Ruotolo, originally booked on this card.

Unfortunately, that fight did not materialize when Ruotolo was ruled out with an injury. That said, the assignment has not gotten any easier for the 26-year-old Melqui Galvao representative.

In Ruotolo’s place steps promotional newcomer Owen Jones. The young Englishman carries a resume that commands respect. He’s a proven finisher who has made a habit of tapping out opponents with calm and calculated efficiency.

The 21-year-old has submitted some big names outside the world’s largest martial arts organization, and fighters who have underestimated him have paid the price.

For Andrey, this featherweight submission grappling showdown is not a step backward, though. It is another test on the road to the gold that almost came his way. However, a breakout performance from Jones could flip the script entirely.

#4 Stars Return With A Point To Prove

Three athletes who have lit up the squared circle with entertaining performances return at ONE Fight Night 44, and all are determined to get their hand raised and prove a point.

Nakrob Fairtex and Jacob Smith have built reputations as two of the most watchable athletes on the promotional roster. Their battles inside the ring have delivered high-octane exchanges that keep fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

Both come into this bantamweight Muay Thai meeting carrying recent defeats. However, fighters who hit the way these two do rarely take long to remind everyone of exactly what they are capable of.

Ferrari Fairtex is cut from the same cloth. The Thai striker has put together a string of impressive displays but returns in search of a first triumph in four outings. Before his skid, the 28-year-old worked his way to the main roster with a 6-2 run.

He faces Japanese veteran Shinji Suzuki in another bantamweight Muay Thai matchup that has all the ingredients of a barnburner.

Three compelling storylines for athletes who are more than ready to fire on all cylinders in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium in American primetime.

#5 A Night Of First Impressions

There is a particular energy that comes with a promotional debut – raw, focused, and impossible to manufacture. This card has it in abundance across multiple disciplines.

In featherweight Muay Thai, Charlie Guest steps onto the ONE stage for the first time against Samuel Fitzgerald. The latter, who hails from New Zealand, is a fellow newcomer who accepted the short-notice assignment with zero hesitation and the hunger of a fighter determined to make an immediate statement.

Meanwhile, in strawweight MMA, undefeated Japanese star Hisashi Ezaki makes his promotional bow with a 7-0 record and a grappling-heavy arsenal that has produced four submissions across his career.

The 28-year-old faces Karen Ghazaryan, a fellow finisher who is hungry to bounce back from his first career setback at ONE Fight Night 42 this past April.

In heavyweight MMA, American standout Regan Upshaw makes his ONE Championship debut against Paul “King of the North” Elliott. The British knockout machine is an opponent who will test everything the American has built since trading football for martial arts

Four debutants across three disciplines – including Owen Jones in submission grappling – all with the same mission: make a statement at ONE Fight Night 44.
