Mauro Cerilli Vs. Paul Elliott Heavyweight MMA Bout Completes ONE Fight Night 14 Card
The last matchup for ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham on Prime Video has just been confirmed, and it features the big boys of mixed martial arts.
Former ONE World Title challenger Mauro Cerilli will collide with English behemoth Paul Elliott in a heavyweight MMA showdown at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The battle of European knockout artists completes the 10-bout card, which will broadcast live in North American primetime on Friday, September 29.
After compiling a 12-2 professional record and claiming the Cage Warriors Heavyweight Title, Cerilli made his ONE Championship debut in November 2018, falling to then-divisional king Brandon Vera.
Since then, the hard-hitting Italian has experienced mixed results. Though “The Hammer” suffered a pair of tough defeats, he earned dominant TKO victories over Alain Ngalani and Abdulbasir Vagabov.
Cerilli will enter ONE Fight Night 14 with a 71 percent finishing rate, and an impressive win in front of a North American primetime audience could jump-start a final run toward the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Championship.
Elliott, however, has his own visions of ONE World Title gold.
The man known as “King of the North” kicked off his MMA career with four massive first-round victories. Impressively, all of those highlight-reel wins were achieved within the first minute of the fight.
But things haven’t gone the Brit’s way since joining the world’s largest martial arts organization. He fell to South Korean giant Kang Ji Won in March 2022, while his battle with Martin Batur five months later would result in a no contest.
On September 29, Elliott will be motivated to get his first promotional victory and begin his path toward Anatoly Malykhin’s ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title.
Given both Cerilli’s and Elliott’s heavy hands, fans would be wise not to blink. One strike can end this contest in an instant.
