Kickboxing World Champion Jonay Risco

Spain’s Jonay Risco is the latest addition to the ONE Super Series featherweight kickboxing division, as it continues to expand at an exponential rate.

The Moi Rui Team representative is another solid acquisition to what is undoubtedly the most talent-rich weight class in any martial arts promotion.

He joins the stacked ranks alongside recent signings The Killer Kid” Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, Tayfun “Turkish Turbine” Ozcan, Superbon, Davit Kiria, and John Wayne “The Gunslinger” Parr.

Risco is a highly decorated striker who has won the Enfusion, ISKA, and WFCA World Titles, competing at both 70 and 72.5 kilograms.

The Spaniard has also defeated some legendary opposition, including Thai superstar Buakaw Banchamek and Dutch legend Andy “Souwer Power” Souwer.

He is known for his high work rate, fast hands, and solid low kicks, combined with an intensity that will provide non-stop action for fans of the world’s largest martial arts organization.

Risco could be pitted against a fellow newcomer in his promotional debut, or anyone from the existing roster.

That includes the likes of ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Champion Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, “The Boxing Computer” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex,  Samy “AK47” SanaEnriko “The Hurricane” Kehl, Jamal Yusupov, and more.

His debut is yet to be scheduled, but look out for the Spanish warrior’s first appearance on the global stage when the action resumes in The Home Of Martial Arts in 2020.
