Keanu Subba Signs On To Face An Undefeated Opponent

Keanu Subba is preparing to get back into action and continue his climb up the featherweight division.

The Malaysian star announced on Instagram he has signed on the dotted line to agree to his next bout.

While he remained tight-lipped about the date and venue for his return, he did drop one hint about the challenge he will take on.

The Monarchy MMA and Bali MMA representative said his next task would be to hand an unbeaten talent the first defeat of his professional mixed martial arts career.

Looking at the ONE Championship featherweight roster, one name that fits the bill is Phoe Thaw.

The Myanmar hero is 6-0, and riding high after his spectacular knockout of Sor Sey in his last bout. A showdown in his homeland at ONE: PURSUIT OF GREATNESS on 26 October would seem like a perfect fit – and provide a strong chance of fireworks.

However, with the world’s largest martial arts organization’s ability to attract the cream of Asian athletic crop, Subba’s opponent could be any of dozens of men across the continent who boast a perfect record, but have yet to compete inside the ONE cage.

The 24-year-old from Kuala Lumpur is coming off a submission victory over Xie Chao at ONE: PURSUIT OF POWER, and would love nothing more than to continue that momentum.
