Former MMA World Champions Aung La N Sang, Zebaztian Kadestam Throw Down At ONE Fight Night 36

MMA World Champions Aung La N Sang and Zebaztian Kadestam

Two former MMA World Champions will square off in a middleweight showdown, as Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang meets Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam at ONE Fight Night 36: Prajanchai vs. Di Bella II on Prime Video.

The highly anticipated clash will broadcast live in U.S. primetime from the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, October 3.

Aung La N Sang, one of the most beloved athletes in ONE Championship and a national hero in Myanmar, is determined to prove he still has plenty left in the tank.

The former ONE Middleweight and Light Heavyweight MMA World Champion owns 30 career victories including 15 in the world’s largest martial arts organization, and he has long been celebrated for his aggressive, crowd-pleasing style.

The 40-year-old hinted at retirement after his second straight loss at ONE 171: Qatar earlier this year, but given his history of bouncing back stronger, fans know he’s never far from another resurgence.

Before that spell, he rattled off three consecutive stoppage victories over Yushin Okami, Gilberto Galvao, and Fan Rong, further proving that his knockout power and submission skills remain as sharp as ever.

Kadestam, meanwhile, is entering new territory. The Swedish knockout artist, who previously held the ONE Welterweight MMA World Title, will make his middleweight debut on the back of an incredible run.

The 34-year-old has strung together a three-bout winning streak, beginning with a first-round finish of Valmir da Silva at ONE: FULL CIRCLE.

Kadestam then followed it up with a 57-second knockout victory over former ONE Lightweight MMA World Title challenger, the late Iuri Lapicus, at ONE Fight Night 1, and then he shocked the world when he stopped the highly touted Roberto “Robocop” Soldic with a second-round flurry at ONE Fight Night 10.

“The Bandit” was originally slated to face Isi Fitikefu earlier this year, but he failed to make weight and wasn’t medically cleared to compete. Now, the former ONE Welterweight MMA World Champion gets an opportunity to test himself at middleweight against one of the most iconic names in the sport.

With both men carrying elite pedigrees and a history of spectacular finishes into the contest, fans can expect nothing less than fireworks when this battle of former MMA World Champions goes down live in U.S. primetime on October 3.
