‘A Firefight Is Always Good’ – Abdallah Ondash Targets Destructive Finish Of Denkriangkrai At The Inner Circle

Abdallah Ondash celebrates after defeating Kompet Sitsarawatsuer at ONE Friday Fights 132

Abdallah Ondash has already turned himself into one of the most dangerous finishers in ONE Friday Fights. Now, the Lebanese knockout artist wants to prove he belongs among the elites in ONE Championship.

The 24-year-old Tiger Muay Thai representative returns at The Inner Circle on May 29 against Denkriangkrai Mavinn Muaythai in strawweight Muay Thai action. The spectacle airs live exclusively for subscribers at live.onefc.com from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.

Across eight appearances in ONE Championship, Ondash has compiled an impressive 7-1 record with five finishes. Even more frightening, all three of his most recent victories ended by knockout.

His latest performance may have been the biggest yet.

At ONE Friday Fights 132, Ondash earned a life-changing main roster contract after scoring a third-round stoppage against Kompet Sitsarawatsuer. For the Lebanese striker, the moment came as both a reward and a surprise after years of grinding through the weekly series.

He said:

“It was very nice. Honestly, it was a surprise for me, but I already had a good record in ONE Championship.

“After getting the contract, Inshallah, I will do my best and win my first fight with the contract.”

Now standing across from him is another dangerous fighter chasing the same dream.

The 27-year-old Denkriangkrai enters the matchup riding a five-fight winning streak, and a victory over Ondash could finally earn him a coveted contract as well.

Still, Ondash does not sound overly concerned by the challenge:

“He’s a good fighter, but I don’t care. I’m ready. Friday, you will see.

“He’s won five fights [in a row], but he never fought Arabic people before. Now he will. We are different. We have strong hearts.”

Unlike movement-heavy outside fighters, Denkriangkrai prefers walking opponents down and exchanging combinations at close range, a style that could produce fireworks against Ondash.

And the Lebanese standout sounds perfectly comfortable with that possibility.

He offered:

“I have everything. I have good punching power. I have good kicking power too. Maybe this fight, I will kick more, not only punch.

“I don’t think about the knockout. I focus on the fight. If the knockout comes, the knockout comes. A firefight is always good.”

Ondash Eyes Aliff, Sam-A, Prajanchai Ahead Of Mission To Become First Lebanese ONE World Champion

Abdallah Ondash may be focused on Denkriangkrai Mavinn Muaythai right now, but he already knows exactly where he wants to go next.

If he gets another victory at The Inner Circle on May 29, the Lebanese striker plans to immediately begin chasing the biggest names in the division, including Thai-Malaysian star Aliff Sor Dechapan and reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PongSuphan PK.

He said:

“If I win, by knockout or decision, I want to fight for the title. I want Prajanchai or Aliff because he fought my brother Ramadan. Yes, Aliff won, but if not for the knee knockdown, maybe Ramadan wins.

“But it happened. Aliff fought smart. He kicked and moved a lot. But after this fight, I want him. If I win, I will say in the ring that I want Aliff or Prajanchai for sure.”

But family pride is not the only reason Ondash wants the Aliff matchup.

When Aliff defeated Ondash’s younger brother Ramadan in a close and competitive battle at ONE Fight Night 38 last November, the Thai-Malaysian star positioned himself among the division’s top contenders.

Now, Abdallah sees Aliff as one of the biggest fights standing between him and eventual World Title contention, and he already believes he knows how to solve the stylistic puzzle.

He breaks it down:

“I like tall opponents. Tall bodies don’t always have power. I have good kicks and punches. He kicks and moves back a lot. He’s fast, yes, but not like me.

“The first tall fighter I fought, I knocked him out. It will be the same for Aliff.”

Beyond settling unfinished business with Aliff, Ondash’s ambitions stretch far beyond a single rivalry.

The Lebanese striker ultimately wants to test himself against the very best names in the division, including Prajanchai and former longtime divisional king Sam-A Gaiyanghadao.

While he speaks about both Thai legends with enormous respect, Ondash believes chasing greatness means eventually standing across the ring from the best.

More importantly, he hopes to become the first Lebanese athlete to capture a ONE Championship World Title, something he believes would carry massive meaning for his country.

He concluded:

“Prajanchai is legend. Sam-A is legend. But I don’t care.

“Winning the ONE World Title is very good for my country. I will be proud.”
