5 Explosive Matchups Added To ONE Fight Night 33 On July 11

ONE Championship’s U.S. primetime event on July 11 is rapidly taking shape.
In addition to a previously announced featherweight Muay Thai scrap between Shadow Singha Mawynn and Mohamed Younes Rabah, five more intriguing showdowns have now been confirmed for ONE Fight Night 33 on Prime Video.
In featherweight MMA action, #4-ranked contender Ilya Freymanov hopes to give a rude welcome to undefeated promotional newcomer Pedro Dantas.
The 29-year-old Freymanov burst onto the global stage with sensational first-round finishes in his first two appearances in ONE. He would subsequently come up short against former divisional World Champion Thanh Le in his bid for the ONE Interim Featherweight MMA World Title.
Now, the hard-hitting Russian hopes to defend his spot in the top-five rankings and prove he’s deserving of another crack at gold, but Dantas will be far from a pushover.
Still just 22 years old, the Brazilian has quickly emerged as one of his country’s most talented rising stars. Dantas is a prolific finisher, owning a 100 percent finishing rate across his pristine 6-0 record that includes a mixture of both submissions and TKOs.
Given Freymanov’s place in the featherweight elite, the debutant could make an immediate impact at ONE Fight Night 33.
In another announced matchup, Russian striker Vladimir Kuzmin and Irish standout Stefan Korodi will square off in a bantamweight Muay Thai encounter that promises fireworks for as long as it lasts.
A veteran of six thrilling battles in ONE, Kuzmin has proven that he belongs among the best Muay Thai fighters on the planet. While his incredible hand speed and impressive toughness make him an elite talent, he’ll come into this bout following a hard-fought decision loss to Suablack Tor Pran49.
The 31-year-old Korodi suffered back-to-back losses to begin his ONE tenure but found his footing in his last outing, defeating decorated Japanese veteran Katsuki Kitano in March.
Both Kuzmin and Korodi know that a victory would do wonders in their respective bids to become contenders in the talent-packed featherweight Muay Thai division.
Chihiro Sawada will lock horns with Macarena Aragon in a pivotal atomweight MMA tilt.
A former Shooto Champion renowned for her powerhouse takedowns and suffocating grappling attack, Sawada won three straight fights in ONE before dropping a decision to Meng Bo in her last appearance, marking the first defeat of her professional career.
The Japanese standout still holds the #5 spot in the atomweight MMA rankings and remains in the hunt for 26 pounds of gold – but a strong performance against the hard-charging Aragon will be critical for her World Title aspirations.
On the other side, the 22-year-old Argentinian stumbled in her ONE debut late last year but bounced back at ONE Fight Night 30 when she employed her relentless grappling game to largely dominate perennial tough-out Jihin Radzuan.
Aragon knows that a win over Sawada would solidify her as a legitimate contender in this compelling grappler-versus-grappler showdown.
Also, elite ground fighters Izaak Michell and Francisco “Chico” Lo will battle in a welterweight submission grappling contest.
Australia’s Michell is among the sport’s toughest competitors, known for his ultra-aggressive style, world-class back-taking skills, and underrated leg lock game.
Lo, meanwhile, is an unorthodox and creative submission hunter who’s dangerous from practically any position, whether he’s attacking from his back or the top position.
Both men will come into this match with something to prove after suffering submission losses to twin megastars Kade Ruotolo and Tye Ruotolo in their respective ONE debuts.
Finally, fans won’t want to miss the explosive bantamweight MMA clash between highly touted phenom Jhanlo Mark Sangiao and Mongolian brawler Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg.
The 22-year-old Sangiao is widely considered one of the most talented young MMA stars from the Philippines, but after suffering his first career defeat, he’s more motivated than ever to prove he belongs with the best of the best.
“The Machine” has finished all six of his professional wins inside the first round, showcasing his venomous submission game against top-tier opposition.
Shinechagtga, on the other hand, is one of MMA’s most electrifying and entertaining strikers. With his aggressive style, shocking power, and granite chin, he’s become a must-watch attraction each and every time he competes.
Like Sangiao, the 28-year-old will be determined to return to the win column after falling to former ONE World Title challenger Kwon Won Il in his last appearance.
