National Collegiate Wrestling Association All-American Troy Worthen followed his older brother into the sport of wrestling, starting at the age of 14 in his home state of Florida. He went on to have well over 400 matches in the sport, placing in the top five in the state as a high schooler, before earning NCWA Conference Champion and All-American honors while attending the University of Central Florida.
Worthen made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2015, and compiled an undefeated 4-0 record in regional competition before trying out for the famed Evolve Fight Team in late 2018. After a successful tryout, he relocated to Singapore to fully dedicate himself to his martial arts career, and spent countess hours honing his skills with former Olympic wrestler Heath Sims as well as the many other World Champion coaches and training partners at Evolve.
Worthen is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a strong collegiate wrestling background, giving him supreme confidence in his grappling game. He loves to learn and compete and believes his well-rounded skills will allow him to dominate and impose his will in ONE Championship. His number-one goal is to become the best possible martial artist he can be, and he views winning a ONE World Championship as a natural part of that progression.
