Years of hard work and determination have brought Davit Kira to ONE Championship’s featherweight kickboxing division — the most talent-ridden roster in the world.

The striking dynamo from Zugdidi, Georgia, began his martial arts odyssey via karate as a young boy before relocating to the Netherlands in 2007 to transition to kickboxing under his longtime coach, Bachuki Partsvania.

One thing led to another, and in less than a decade he achieved superstar status when he battled for the Glory Lightweight Kickboxing World Championship on short notice, knocking his opponent out before the final bell.

Tougher fights followed, but through his high-paced style, aggression, and special kicking techniques – particularly his flying back kick and rolling heel-kick – Kiria continued taking out bigger names in the business and became an instant hit with fans worldwide.

His heart and manner even caught the attention of ONE, who brought him on board in 2021. Kiria has since competed inside the promotion on four occasions. He scored a statement first-round knockout of Enriko Kehl and had three fights that went the distance against kickboxing GOAT Giorgio Petrosyan, Thai legend Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, and fast-rising star Mohammed Boutasaa.
