The two star athletes will fight on the ONE: Eersel vs. Sadikovic card, which broadcasts live from Singapore on Friday, 22 April. And the winner could secure the next crack at ONE Strawweight World Champion Joshua Pacio.
Masunyane has been flawless in his MMA career so far.
That impressive display earned “Little Giant” the #1 contender spot in the strawweight division, and he hopes a victory at the Singapore Indoor Stadium will lead to a World Championship opportunity.
But first, Masunyane needs to defeat Brooks, who also has gold in his sights.
The brash American owns an 18-2 (1 NC) record and is riding a four-bout winning streak, which includes dominant victories over former #5 contender Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang and #4-ranked Hiroba Minowa.
If Brooks emerges victorious again, then he would undoubtedly leapfrog Masunyane in the rankings and make a strong case for the next shot at Pacio’s belt.
The Card So Far For 22 April
The World Title eliminator between Jarred Brooks and Bokang Masunyane isn’t the only fight that’s been announced for the ONE: Eersel vs. Sadikovic card on 22 April.
All of that is in addition to the main event, which will feature ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion Regian Eersel defending his belt against Arian Sadikovic. The co-main event will feature Jackie Buntan taking on Smilia Sundell for the inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title.
