Stamp Fairtex To Face Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak At ONE Fight Night 6
Stamp Fairtex’s highly anticipated mixed rules super-fight may be off, but she’s still competing at ONE Fight Night 6 this Friday, January 13.
The former two-sport queen will now face 19-year-old striking sensation Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak in a strawweight kickboxing match at Bangkok’s Impact Arena in their native Thailand.
Stamp was originally scheduled to face the athlete who many consider to be the best pound-for-pound female striker on the planet, Anissa Meksen. However, the French-Algerian veteran missed the weight and hydration testing window, rendering her unable to compete at ONE’s first event of the year.
Conversely, Anna made weight for her long-awaited strawweight Muay Thai rematch with Ekaterina Vandaryeva, but the Belarusian failed to do the same.
They could not agree upon a catchweight, and now, “Supergirl” braces for the biggest opportunity of her young career against the former ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion.
As for Vandaryeva, she will no longer compete on the card.
The all-Thai battle between Stamp and “Supergirl” is just one of four kickboxing matches happening at ONE Fight Night 6 tomorrow night.
That tilt joins the Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Jiduo Yibu clash, the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title fight between #2-ranked Superlek Kiatmoo9 and #5-ranked Daniel Puertas, and the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship main event between defending titleholder Superbon Singha Mawynn and #1 contender Chingiz Allazov.
