Prajanchai Vs. Ellis Badr Barboza Muay Thai World Title Bout To Headline ONE Fight Night 28

Two-sport ONE World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai

ONE Fight Night 28 on Prime Video is beginning to take shape, and the main event at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium is a certified barnburner.

Set for U.S. primetime on Friday, February 7, the show will be headlined by a ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title fight between reigning two-sport king Prajanchai PK Saenchai and hard-hitting British challenger Ellis “El Jefe” Badr Barboza.

Long recognized as one of the planet’s best pound-for-pound strikers, Prajanchai is an incredibly experienced competitor, winning both Lumpinee Stadium and Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Titles before arriving in ONE.

Since then, the 30-year-old Thai has continued to employ his seemingly unmatched technical prowess to further solidify himself as an all-time great.

In December 2023, Prajanchai defeated Joseph “The Hurricane” Lasiri to avenge his only defeat in ONE and reclaim the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title he previously held.

Then in June 2024, he scored a hard-fought decision win over Jonathan Di Bella to win the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title and announce himself as a bona fide two-sport superstar.

Given the status of the defending World Champion, Barboza could turn himself into an overnight sensation with a World Title triumph at ONE Fight Night 28.

Renowned for his relentless pacing and concussive power, “El Jefe” was a WBC European Muay Thai Champion prior to joining the world’s largest martial arts organization.

The 24-year-old will now come into the clash against Prajanchai – undoubtedly the biggest opportunity of his career – following a thrilling decision victory over young phenom Aliff Sor Dechapan.

Jeremy Pacatiw Vs. Ibragim Dauev Also Confirmed For Card

Lower on the card, bantamweight MMA standouts Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw and Ibragim Dauev will throw down in a pivotal three-round battle. A win for either man would do wonders for his climb toward the division’s top-five rankings.

The 28-year-old Pacatiw is an explosive striker who has shown marked improvements in his ground game recently, scoring back-to-back submission victories in his past two outings.

The Lions Nation MMA representative knows that a third straight win could earn him a serious step up in competition, but Dauev has other plans.

Still just 23 years old, the Russian destroyer owns a perfect 9-0 career record and has established himself as one of MMA’s most exciting rising stars. He made his promotional debut in January of last year with a lopsided decision victory over talented veteran Mark Abelardo.

Dauev will likely lean on his dynamic takedown game and savage ground-and-pound when he goes toe-to-toe with an experienced striker like Pacatiw.
