Aliff Sor Dechapan

Rising Muay Thai star Aliff Sor Dechapan has taken a somewhat unconventional route to the top of the sport. 

The young fighter was born in Malaysia, although his father is Thai and a former Muay Thai fighter in his own right. Aliff began his training under the tutelage of his father at their home in Malaysia at age 7.  

Despite being located outside of the sport’s heartland, Aliff became one of the top prospects in the region by competing in various tournaments. Along the way, he claimed gold medals at IFMA Bangkok in 2021, then Abu Dhabi in 2022, before winning the 2022 South East Asian Games in Vietnam. 

Eventually, he relocated to Thailand to train at the respected Sor Dechapan Gym in Bangkok, where he reeled off a series of victories on the Thai capital’s stadium circuit to take his career tally past 50 wins. 

In 2023, Aliff was invited to show his wares on the ONE Friday Fights platform, and he made an instant impression. After a stunning four-fight run, including three knockouts, Aliff was rewarded with a coveted six-figure full-time contract with ONE Championship later that year.  

As a full-fledged member of the world’s largest martial arts organization, he now has his sights set on a 26-pound gold ONE World Title.
