Nabil Anane Vs. Kiamran Nabati, Freddie Haggerty Vs. Jordan Estupinan Booked For ONE 170

ONE 170 keeps getting better and better, and a pair of intriguing Muay Thai showdowns have been added to the blockbuster event at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

On January 24 in Asia primetime, surging bantamweight contenders Nabil Anane and Kiamran Nabati will collide in a bantamweight fight with World Title implications, while young phenom Freddie Haggerty will face promotional newcomer Jordan Estupinan in a flyweight tilt between rising stars.

Still just 20 years old, the towering Anane has solidified himself as Muay Thai’s most exciting young talent.

After falling to current two-sport, two-weight ONE World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his promotional debut, the Thai-Algerian prodigy has rattled off five consecutive victories to earn the #5 bantamweight Muay Thai contender spot.

Anane’s meteoric rise includes wins over two-time ONE World Title challenger Felipe Lobo, former Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Muangthai PK Saenchai, and lethwei legend Soe Lin Oo.

He hopes to keep the ball rolling and punch his ticket to a shot at gold, but standing in his way is #3-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Nabati.

The Russian powerhouse arrived at ONE with a pristine 18-0 professional record and has done nothing but win since then.

Through four appearances in the world’s largest martial arts organization, the 30-year-old has employed his savage boxing attack to beat some of Thailand’s finest strikers, including former two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Pongsiri PK Saenchai and former longtime ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama.

Nabati’s hard-hitting, all-action style will be put to the test against the long-range weaponry and vicious clinch game of the towering Anane.

And with Superlek slated to defend his bantamweight Muay Thai gold against #2-ranked contender Nico Carrillo later at ONE 170, the winner between Nabati and Anane will make his case to be the next challenger up.

Lower on the card, Haggerty and Estupinan will each look to follow in the footsteps of their superstar brothers and cement themselves as a true threat in the flyweight Muay Thai division.

The 20-year-old Haggerty is the younger brother to reigning ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan Haggerty, and he’s looked nothing short of dominant through three appearances at the ONE Friday Fights event series.

The young Englishman has employed his shocking power, well-rounded skill set, and savage finishing instincts to rack up three straight knockout victories in the strawweight Muay Thai division.

Estupinan, meanwhile, is the twin brother to undefeated Colombian fan favorite Johan Estupinan, who will also be competing on the card.

If the 22-year-old fights anything like his high-flying and unorthodox older brother, fans can expect an electrifying battle at ONE 170 when he makes his hotly anticipated debut on the global stage.
