Nico “King of the North” Carrillo

Scottish knockout artist Nico Carrillo is as dangerous as they come in the bantamweight Muay Thai division. 

“King of the North” was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and started his martial arts journey in boxing before discovering Muay Thai at 15 years old.

He hasn’t looked back since. 

After establishing himself as one of the finest Muay Thai athletes on the continent, Carrillo embarked on a stunning run that left a trail of destruction through the U.K. and Europe and included winning the WBC Muay Thai European Championship. 

The 11-fight winning streak was enough to catch ONE Championship’s attention, and Carrillo’s dominance continued on the proving grounds of ONE Friday Fights. 

His devastating power was on show during a pair of crushing knockout wins over Furkan Karabag and Muangthai PK Saenchai that saw the Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy representative awarded the coveted US$100,000 contract to ONE’s main roster.  

So impressive were his performances that he was instantly thrust into the top-five rankings. 

At ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai vs. Superbon on December 22, Carrillo has a golden opportunity to stamp his authority once again when he faces former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama.
