Kickboxing World Champion Anissa Meksen Joins ONE Championship

Top pound-for-pound kickboxer Anissa Meksen

Just hours after the signing of kickboxing superstar Marat Grigorian, ONE Championship confirmed another major addition to its roster.

On Sunday, 23 August, nine-time Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Anissa Meksen officially put pen to paper with the world’s largest martial arts organization.

Meksen, who hails from Nancy, France, is widely considered the top pound-for-pound women’s kickboxer on the planet.

The French star holds a jaw-dropping 100-5 professional record, with 32 victories coming by way of knockout. That includes wins over the likes of Tiffany van Soest, Jady Menezes, and Sofia Olofsson, as well as a knockout of Iman “Pretty Killer” Barlow to become the 2014 Enfusion Reality Season 5 K-1 Tournament Champion.

Additionally, Meksen is a WAKO Flyweight World Champion, an ISKA K-1 World Champion, a WPMF Muay Thai World Champion, and a five-time GLORY Bantamweight World Champion.

The 32-year-old is now joining ONE’s all-striking branch, ONE Super Series, where she will compete in the stacked atomweight kickboxing and Muay Thai divisions.

Some of the elite athletes in those divisions are Alma Juniku, Anne “Ninja” Line Hogstad, Ekaterina “Barbie” Vandaryeva, Rudzma Abubakar, “Killer Bee” Chuang Kai Ting, Marie “Snow Leopard” Ruumet, Supergirl Jaroonsak Muaythai, and Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

Of course, those divisions are headlined by ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex and ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Janet “JT” Todd.

A date for Meksen’s ONE debut has not yet been scheduled, but she’s expected to make her first appearance on the global stage later in 2020.
