Jonathan Haggerty Out; Updated Cards For ONE 160 And ONE On Prime Video 1

British Muay Thai fighter Jonathan Haggerty beats Japanese star Taiki Naito at ONE: BIG BANG II in December 2020

A fight-week withdrawal has forced some changes to the martial arts doubleheader that features ONE 160: Ok vs. Lee II and ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II this Friday, August 26.

Jonathan Haggerty enters the Circle at ONE: BAD BLOOD

Second-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender Jonathan Haggerty was due to face Amir Naseri in a ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix alternate bout at ONE on Prime Video 1.

However, the British star has been forced to withdraw from the contest due to a non-COVID related illness.

This is the second straight withdrawal for Haggerty, as he was not medically cleared to compete in his last scheduled clash against Walter Goncalves at ONE 157: Petchmorakot vs. Vienot back in May.

With “The General” stepping down, Naseri will no longer compete in Friday’s action.

As a result, the tournament’s other alternate bout between Panpayak Jitmuangnon and Sherzod Kabutov moves from ONE 160 to the headlining spot on the ONE on Prime Video 1 lead card.

With that change, all of the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix fights will be featured live in U.S. primetime.

The switch also means ONE 160 will no longer have a lead card.

Instead, it will showcase a seven-bout main card, topped by the highly anticipated ONE Lightweight World Title rematch between Ok Rae Yoon and Christian Lee

Take a look at the updated lineups for both shows below.
