Carlo Bumina-ang To Make U.S. Primetime Debut Against Asa Ten Pow In MMA Match At ONE Fight Night 24

Carlo Bumina ang Chayan Oorzhak ONE Friday Fights 65 40

After securing a six-figure ONE Championship contract in May, Carlo Bumina-ang will make his U.S. primetime debut at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on Prime Video

The unbeaten Filipino phenom is booked to face striking ace Asa “The American Ninja” Ten Pow in a bantamweight MMA clash on Friday, August 2, live from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bumina-ang was sensational during his stint in ONE Friday Fights, posting five straight victories that included two knockouts and two submissions.

To clinch his contract, the 30-year-old Team Lakay athlete choked out Chayan Oorzhak at ONE Friday Fights 65, ending the Mongolian-Russian’s impressive run of 3-0 in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

Now a perfect 6-0 in his professional career, Bumina-ang is excited to face the best of the best and prove himself on the global roster.

Ten Pow is no stranger to the global fan base, but this time out, he’ll get to showcase his all-around game for the first time.

“The American Ninja” is a seasoned striker who has earned back-to-back wins over Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon and Han Zi Hao in Muay Thai bouts.

The 34-year-old will dive into MMA for this showdown with Bumina-ang as he looks to display more facets of his all-around skill set.

Both men are powerful strikers with knockout potential, but this battle could play out in many different ways.

Bumina-ang could look to utilize his stand-up skills against a specialist in that field, or he might opt to test Ten Pow on the canvas.

If the Filipino wins, he’ll make a big statement of intent in the bantamweight MMA division, while Ten Pow could mark himself out as a major threat in a second sport.

ONE Fight Night 24 will be topped by Jarred “The Monkey God” Brooks and Gustavo “El Gladiador” Balart’s clash for the ONE Interim Strawweight MMA World Title, plus Danielle Kelly’s first ONE Women’s Atomweight Submission Grappling World Title defense against Mayssa Bastos.
