The stars of ONE Friday Fights 126 turned up the intensity at their open workouts, showcasing the skills and hunger that will light up Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on September 26.

This tentpole event, which airs live in Asia primetime, features World Champions across Muay Thai and kickboxing and promises to be one of the most explosive cards of the weekly series.

Suffice it to say, the ONE Friday Fights 126 open workouts that took place on Wednesday, September 10, gave martial arts enthusiasts a glimpse of the fiery aura they can expect when the action gets underway inside “the Mecca of Muay Thai” later this month.

At the workouts, ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane showcased his traditional style and destroyed the pads alongside one of the central figures to his success story and longtime coach Mehdi “Diamond Heart” Zatout.

The 6-foot-4 talent showcased the precise technique and devastating power that propelled him to a seven-fight win streak, a run that includes his sensational first-round finish of Nico “King of the North” Carrillo.

At ONE Friday Fights 126, however, the Team Mehdi Zatout star will swap the 4-ounce gloves for larger mitts as he faces former ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Ennahachi in a bantamweight kickboxing matchup.

His younger brother, Yonis Anane, also joined the open workout at Venum Training Camp in Pattaya, Thailand.

The Thai-Algerian showed the lightning-fast combinations and technical brilliance that were on display in his unanimous decision win over Chinese star Liu Junchao at ONE Friday Fights 114 this past June.

The younger Anane will make his sophomore promotional appearance at the tentpole spectacle in a strawweight Muay Thai clash against Vietnamese slugger Huynh Hoang Phi.

A massive win for the young gun, still only 18 years of age, should go a long way in his bid to follow in the footsteps of his brother to taste World Title success on martial arts’ biggest platform.

Meanwhile, their stablemate, Thai striker PTT Apichart Farm, gave it his all during his open workout session leading up to his crucial 147-pound Muay Thai battle against Italian ace Alessio Malatesta.

The 27-year-old returns to Lumpinee in search of a bounce-back victory after suffering a narrow split-decision loss to French standout Elies Abdelali in his debut.

PTT was at his explosive best during his workout, executing accurate combinations and fundamentals that have helped him amass 111 wins in his career.

Meanwhile, former Lumpinee Stadium and Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Yodlekpet “The Destroyer” Or Atchariya put on a masterclass in technical precision at Silk Muay Thai in Pattaya.

He displayed the surgical striking ability that has made him one of the most feared finishers in the discipline, just in time for his highly anticipated flyweight Muay Thai rematch with Pompet Panthonggym.

The 30-year-old has claimed five knockouts from eight wins in ONE Championship, and he’ll love nothing more than to add to his gallery of highlight-reel moments in Bangkok on Friday, September 26.
