In Photos: Nong-O Sharpens His Weapons Ahead Of World Grand Prix Quarterfinal Clash With Rodtang

Nong O Hama unleashes a kick at The Inner Circle 38 Open Workout

Former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama showcased his skills at an open workout on Tuesday, October 27, at Superbon Muaythai Academy in Bangkok, Thailand, ahead of one of the most anticipated clashes in recent Muay Thai history.

The #3-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender also spoke to media as he prepares to face former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon in the 2026-2027 ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix quarterfinals at The Inner Circle 38 on Friday, November 13, streaming via live.onefc.com.

This clash between two of Thailand’s greatest strikers has been a long time coming. Nong-O and Rodtang were originally set to collide at ONE 173 last November for the vacant ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship. Just before the fight, however, Rodtang pulled out due to illness, forcing a postponement that left the striking world waiting.

Now, the two legends finally get their chance to meet inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, with a spot in the semifinals on the line.

At 39 years old, Nong-O continues to chase greatness. The Evolve MMA representative is widely regarded as one of the greatest strikers the sport has ever produced.

An eight-time ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion with over 300 fights and a 13-5 mark in ONE Championship, he has collected virtually every accolade the striking world has to offer across a career spanning more than two decades. Yet his ambition remains as sharp as ever.

A victory and a shot at becoming a two-division ONE World Champion would represent the crowning achievement of an already legendary career. But standing across from him is one of the few men capable of stopping that dream in its tracks.

Rodtang: Back With A Point To Prove

The 29-year-old megastar in Rodtang enters this quarterfinal clash with something to prove. The Jitmuangnon Gym product owns a stunning 274-44 career record and a 17-3 mark in ONE Championship, where his ferocious forward pressure and iron chin made him one of the most beloved and feared competitors of his era.

Fresh off signing a new deal with ONE Championship, the #2-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender is eager to recapture the form that made him a combat sports icon. A victory over the legendary Nong-O would do wonders for his legacy and put him firmly back in the conversation for divisional gold.

That said, here are some photos of Nong-O from Tuesday’s open workout at Superbon Muaythai Academy in Bangkok, Thailand.
