By The Numbers: How Two-Division MMA King Christian Lee Rewrote ONE’s Record Books

For more than a decade, two-division MMA World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee has systematically rewritten the ONE Championship record books one victory at a time.

Headlining The Inner Circle 37 on Friday, November 6, the Singaporean-American superstar will aggressively defend his ONE Lightweight MMA World Title against reigning ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo. The highly anticipated subscriber-exclusive event streams live from Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium on live.onefc.com.

For Lee, the marquee matchup adds yet another chapter to one of the most decorated careers in promotional history. Still only 28 years old, he continues to evolve, and his iron grip on the lightweight and welterweight MMA divisions shows absolutely no sign of loosening.

As the undisputed standard-bearer for mixed martial arts in ONE, Lee has the raw numbers to back up his legacy. Here is a breakdown of the staggering statistics behind his unparalleled dominance.

#1 Lee Owns The Most Wins In ONE History

No athlete has won more fights in ONE than Lee. His 18 victories stand completely alone atop the promotion’s all-time list, currently sitting one clear of former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon.

Equally impressive is the fact that he built that flawless resume entirely on ONE’s global stage. All 23 of his professional bouts have taken place inside the organization, dating back to his December 2015 debut at just 17 years, 5 months, and 20 days old.

Across that historic span, he has fearlessly tested himself against the world’s absolute best at featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight, all under the same banner.

Seven of his 18 victories have come in World Title or World Grand Prix bouts on some of the biggest events in the promotion’s history, serving as a testament to his elite consistency at the highest level.

Perfect records have not survived Lee, either. He handed an undefeated foe his first career loss at ONE: Inside The Matrix in October 2020. Five years later, Turkish contender Alibeg Rasulov learned the exact same bitter lesson at ONE 173, leaving Tokyo with his first MMA defeat.

#2 Lee Is The Youngest Male MMA World Champion

Massive expectations followed Lee from the exact moment he arrived in ONE, and he met them head-on. Within two and a half years of his professional debut, he was already fighting for a World Title.

At ONE: Enter The Dragon in Singapore on May 17, 2019, he officially became the promotion’s youngest male MMA World Champion at 20 years, 10 months, and 26 days old.

His brutal path to 26 pounds of gold ran directly through then-ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki, one of the sport’s most dangerous submission artists. Moving up from featherweight for his very first lightweight bout, Lee navigated a terrifying first-round scare against the Japanese legend before decisively knocking him out 51 seconds into round two.

His reign rapidly gathered speed from there. Five months later, he beat Dagi Arslanaliev in Tokyo to win the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix, then emphatically defended his belt against Iuri Lapicus and Timofey Nastyukhin.

The Prodigy Training Center affiliate’s rapid rise also made historic family history. Alongside his older sister and former ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, he became part of the very first brother-sister duo to simultaneously hold MMA World Titles.

#3 Lee Is The Most Prolific Finisher The Promotion Has Ever Seen

When Lee wins, the judges rarely need to get involved. Seventeen of his 18 victories have ended inside the distance, marking the most finishes in ONE history for a staggering 94 percent finish rate. His 13 knockouts serve as another massive promotional record.

“The Warrior” famously wastes little time. His 11 first-round finishes are tied for the most in ONE history, a violent habit that began with a 29-second stoppage of David Meak in his debut. He went on to finish each of his next four opponents in the opening round as well.

That blinding speed held up even as the competition stiffened. Lee put away former ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion Kotetsu “No Face” Boku inside the first round. As the reigning king, he needed a combined 3:32 to get through his first two World Title defenses against Lapicus and Nastyukhin.

The lightweight and welterweight MMA titleholder’s victories last an average of just 5:44, barely pushing beyond a single five-minute round. His lone decision win came as a short-notice replacement against Arslanaliev in the 2019 World Grand Prix Final.

Every single victory since has come by definitive stoppage, the direct product of a lethal finisher’s instinct that rarely lets opponents settle into a rhythm.

#4 Lee Turns Every Setback Into A Statement

Setbacks have never managed to slow Lee for long. Across his last three rematches, he is a flawless 3-0 with three violent stoppages.

That terrifying pattern of absolute redemption began against Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly. After a controversial 2018 disqualification loss, Lee returned at ONE: Eternal Glory in January 2019 and brutalized the Filipino with ground strikes in round one.

The second act carried much higher stakes. South Korea’s Ok Rae Yoon dethroned Lee in a massive upset at ONE: Revolution in September 2021, narrowly edging him on the scorecards to claim the lightweight crown. Eleven months later at ONE 160, Lee took it back with an emphatic second-round TKO.

Nowhere has Lee’s tactical evolution been clearer than against Rasulov. Their first meeting at ONE Fight Night 26 in December 2024 ended in a frustrating no contest after an accidental eye poke. When they ran it back the following November, Lee calmly recovered from an early takedown and finished the powerful Turk with grounded knees in round two.

Time and again, he has definitively proven himself as a fighter who rises even higher after every fall.

#5 Lee’s Greatness Transcends Weight Classes

Ruling a single division was never going to be enough for Lee. In November 2022, he boldly moved up to welterweight to challenge then-ONE Welterweight MMA World Champion Kiamrian “Brazen” Abbasov at ONE on Prime Video 4.

The naturally bigger Abbasov made him earn every inch of it. Lee miraculously weathered early trouble against the heavy-handed Kyrgyz-Russian bruiser and finally stopped him at 4:20 of the fourth round — the only finish of his career to go beyond round three.

With that monumental victory, the Hawaii-based star officially joined the highly exclusive club of two-division ONE World Champions, proving his elite skills carry effortlessly across divisions.

Championship nights have become standard routine for the six-time ONE World Champion, with five of his six title wins ending inside two rounds. Along his legendary path, he has beaten four former ONE World Champions — Boku, Aoki, Ok, and Abbasov.

His legacy is already completely secure, yet Lee is far from finished. With staggering records that few can ever hope to approach, he continues to set the ultimate bar for every champion who follows in his footsteps.
