The world’s largest martial arts organization will close out 2025 with a bang at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video.

Broadcasting live in U.S. primetime on Friday, December 5, from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, this blockbuster showcase delivers two ONE World Title fights, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu dream match, and international stars ready to explode onto the global stage.

Here are five reasons why you can’t afford to miss ONE Fight Night 38.

#1 A Must-See Bantamweight MMA World Title Fight

ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade‘s sniper-like precision striking collides with #4-ranked contender Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu‘s suffocating grappling arsenal in the main event.

Andrade has established himself as one of the most feared finishers in the game. The Brazilian’s crushing body assault has spelled the demise of the world’s best 145-pound fighters.

He outclassed feared headhunter and former ONE World Champion John “Hands of Stone” Lineker twice, then reasserted his dominance with a spectacular 42-second demolition of “Pretty Boy” Kwon Won Il at ONE 170 this past January.

But now, “Wonder Boy” faces his most fearsome challenger yet. Baatarkhuu’s popularity is at an all-time high following his standout performance on “Netflix’s Physical: Asia.”

Inside the ring, the 36-year-old has built his reputation on dominance. He’s submitted Jhanlo Mark “The Machine” Sangiao, Carlo Bumina-ang, and Aaron “Tommy Gun” Canarte before dismantling Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw at ONE Fight Night 29 this past March.

A victory would make him Mongolia’s second ONE MMA World Champion, following in the footsteps of his mentor and former featherweight king Narantungalag “Tungaa” Jadambaa.

#2 A New Submission Grappling World Champion Will Be Crowned

In the co-main event, a new warrior will etch his name into the promotion’s distinguished line of submission grappling World Champions.

The vacant ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Title will find its new owner when two-time ADCC World Champion Diogo “Baby Shark” Reis faces Japanese standout Daiki Yonekura.

Reis announced his arrival at ONE Fight Night 29 this past March, handing Shoya Ishiguro his only ONE loss. The Melqui Galvao product showcased the complete package, combining suffocating top pressure with creative submission setups before forcing a tap via crushing kimura.

Standing across from him is Yonekura, an underdog ready to shock the world. The 28-year-old IGLOO representative captured gold at the 2024 IBJJF Pan Pacific Championship and 2024 ADCC Sydney Open.

His game is built on speed, precision, and intricate leg entanglements that create a fascinating stylistic clash against Reis’ high-octane attacking style.

#3 BJJ Legends Clash In A Dream Match

The grappling world gets its once-in-a-lifetime dream match when BJJ icons Marcelo Garcia and Lachlan Giles square off in lightweight submission grappling action.

Garcia is widely regarded as the sport’s greatest competitor, capturing four ADCC World Championships and five IBJJF World Titles.

After battling stomach cancer in 2023, “Marcelinho” made his triumphant return following a 15-year hiatus at ONE 170 this past January. Against fellow pioneer Masakazu “Ashikan-Judan” Imanari, the 42-year-old Brazilian showcased fundamental perfection, methodically breaking down defenses before securing a north-south choke.

But another legend is coming out of retirement to face the BJJ GOAT. Giles, who last competed in 2022, couldn’t refuse the chance to test himself against the man he reveres most.

The Australian tactician is the mastermind behind modern leg locks, weaponizing the K-Guard into one of the sport’s most feared systems. He proved technique conquers size during his bronze-medal finish in the 2019 ADCC Absolute division, submitting three heavyweights via inside heel hook.

Despite his profound respect for Garcia, Giles plans to deploy his intricate guard work and devastating leg attacks to defeat his idol.

#4 Potential World Title Challengers Could Emerge

ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion “The Queen” Phetjeeja is returning to her Muay Thai roots in a quest to become a two-sport ONE World Champion.

But standing in her path is Polish buzzsaw Martyna Dominczak, who sees the Thai superstar as her stepping stone to glory.

Phetjeeja brings a pristine 7-0 ONE Championship record into the clash. Her blinding speed, devastating power, and technical precision have proven unstoppable against elite competition, including Janet “JT” Todd, Anissa “C18” Meksen, and Kana “Krusher Queen” Morimoto

Dominczak presents a different challenge. The 23-year-old carries a 3-1 slate in the promotion, riding back-to-back victories over Yu Yau Pui and Cynthia Flores.

The winner positions herself for a shot at undisputed ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

Across the card, Aliff Sor Dechapan and Ramadan “The Scorpion” Ondash collide to determine the next challenger for reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.

Aliff rides a four-fight winning streak, most recently dominating Elmehdi “The Sniper” El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 32. The Thai-Malaysian striker’s precise combinations and relentless pressure make him a dangerous threat.

But the 19-year-old Ondash can match that intensity. The Lebanese phenom won a life-changing US$100,000 contract at ONE Friday Fights and has left a trail of destruction across his own four-fight winning streak.

This clash of young guns promises fireworks, and only one will take his career to new heights.

#5 Last U.S. Primetime Event Of The Year

For twelve months, ONE Championship delivered unforgettable moments through its U.S. primetime series on Prime Video.

Now ONE Fight Night 38 closes the chapter on 2025 with elite MMA, explosive Muay Thai, and world-class grappling, all on one card.

For these warriors stepping into the ring on December 5, this isn’t just another fight. It’s their last chance in 2025 to cement legacies, launch World Title runs, and prove they belong among the world’s best.
