Shooto South American Strawweight Champion Yago Bryan began training in Muay Thai at the age of 12, and quickly showed promise as he rose up to become one of the hottest prospects in Brazil. He made his professional cage debut in January 2014, and won via unanimous decision against a seasoned veteran, proving his potential.
Bryan trains at the famous Nova Uniao camp in Rio De Janeiro, where he sharpens his skills every day alongside some of the most recognized Brazilian martial artists in the world. In June 2014, just five months after making his professional debut, he competed for the Shooto South American strawweight title, and claimed the first championship of his career.
That win earned the undefeated young prospect a shot at the inaugural ONE Strawweight World Title against Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, but was ultimately successful. Now on the comeback trail, Bryan is determined to work his way back into world title contention.
