About Victoria Lee
Victoria Lee was born into martial arts royalty, the second-youngest member of ONE Championship’s most celebrated Lee fighting family. Under the guidance of her father and coach Ken Lee at United MMA in Hawaii, Victoria grew up training alongside her older siblings Angela and Christian, who would both capture ONE World Championship gold.
From her earliest days on the mats, it was clear that Victoria possessed something special — a rare combination of natural athleticism, fierce determination, and the fighting spirit that defined the Lee family legacy.
Her martial arts achievements were nothing short of extraordinary. Victoria became a two-time Pankration Junior World Champion and claimed the 2019 IMMAF Junior World Championship, competing against elite international competition. In 2020, she dominated the Hawaii State Wrestling Championships, needing less than two minutes to pin her opponent and capture the title. Her grappling prowess was further evidenced by her incredible 15 NAGA Expert Championship victories, establishing her as one of the most promising young martial artists in the world.
Victoria’s exceptional talent caught the attention of ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, who called her “arguably the single greatest pound-for-pound female prospect in the world today.” Then, at just 16 years old, she signed with ONE, joining her World Champion siblings in the world’s largest martial arts organization. Victoria approached each challenge with the same calm confidence and infectious enthusiasm that endeared her to everyone around her.
Her promotional debut at ONE: FISTS OF FURY in February 2021 was everything fans had hoped for and more. Facing experienced Thai fighter Sunisa Srisen, Victoria showcased her budding skill set, surviving early adversity before securing a dominant rear-naked choke victory in the second round. Her father Ken beamed with pride, noting how she executed the gameplan perfectly when it mattered most. Victoria’s own reaction was characteristically humble — she was thrilled with the victory but already focused on improving for her next performance.
Victoria continued her perfect start with a spectacular triangle armbar finish against Wang Luping, followed by a devastating TKO victory over previously undefeated Victoria Souza. At just 17 years old, she had compiled a flawless 3-0 record with three emphatic finishes, establishing herself as a legitimate force in ONE’s atomweight division. Her family’s pride was evident — Angela and Christian provided constant support and guidance, while Victoria continued her endearing tradition of baking celebratory cheesecakes for her siblings after their victories.
Balancing her burgeoning MMA career with high school studies, Victoria exemplified dedication and maturity beyond her years. After graduating in 2022, she was excited to focus entirely on her fighting career, expressing eagerness to face higher-level competition and continue her journey toward championship gold.
Tragically, just as her future seemed boundless, Victoria passed away in December 2022 at the age of 18. Her loss sent shockwaves through the martial arts community and left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, teammates, and fans worldwide.
Today, ONE Championship continues to honor Victoria’s memory and legacy through multiple meaningful initiatives. Sityodtong declared January 13 — what would have been Victoria’s 19th birthday and the date she was last scheduled to compete — as “Victoria Lee Day.” The organization also established the Victoria Lee Award, presented each year to a fighter who goes above and beyond the call of duty in giving back to their community through charitable efforts.
