The Lee Family’s 3 Greatest MMA Victories In ONE Championship

Angela Lee and Christian Lee with their ONE Championship belts at ONE: CENTURY

Angela, Christian, and Victoria Lee make up ONE Championship’s most dangerous fighting family.

Older siblings Angela and Christian both hold ONE World Title gold, while Victoria is just starting her career and experiencing success with a perfect 3-0 record.

Together, they are three of MMA’s most entertaining, aggressive, and skilled fighters. Each has their fair share of memorable bouts in ONE Championship, from epic World Title wins to intriguing clashes with top prospects.

One characteristic each Lee sibling shares in common is a willingness to relentlessly pursue the finish in each and every contest, which has made them instant fan favorites.

With that in mind, here are three of the Lee family’s greatest victories to date.

Angela Lee’s Epic Comeback Against Stamp Fairtex

This past March at ONE X, “Unstoppable” Angela Lee successfully defended her ONE Women’s Atomweight World Championship in one of the wildest fights of 2022.

The Singaporean-American was hurt and nearly finished early in her bout against former two-sport queen Stamp Fairtex after eating a vicious body shot. But Lee, a BJJ black belt, quickly turned things around. She brought the striker to the mat and took her back to close out the first round.

In the second frame, Lee immediately utilized her grappling advantage as she attacked with submission attempt after submission attempt. Ultimately, she forced Stamp to tap out via rear-naked choke toward the end of the stanza.

This bout was not only action-packed and entertaining, but it was also a dazzling display of the atomweight queen’s world-class submission talent.

Lee will look to top that effort when she challenges ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan for the gold in a trilogy match at ONE on Prime Video 2.

Christian Lee Takes Shinya Aoki’s Belt

In May 2019, Christian “The Warrior” Lee found himself challenging legendary Japanese MMA fighter Shinya Aoki for the ONE Lightweight World Championship. Aoki held a massive experience advantage and had finished each of his previous four opponents inside a single round.

Initially, Lee looked to be another first-round victim, as he was caught in a deep armbar that torqued his right arm at a grotesque angle. “The Warrior” showed incredible resilience in escaping the submission and surviving the remainder of the stanza.

Lee bounced back in the second frame, needing less than a minute to blitz “Tobikan Judan” with a flurry of punches that brought an end to the fight.

That TKO win secured “The Warrior’s” place in history, making him the youngest-ever male MMA World Champion at 20 years old.

Victoria Lee Hands Victoria Souza Her First Loss

The youngest sibling of ONE Championship’s fighting family hasn’t shied away from challenges in her budding MMA career. In just her third professional match back in September 2021, Victoria Lee squared off with the 5-0 Victoria Souza.

Lee quickly showed why her grappling and submission prowess is something all of ONE Championship’s atomweight division should fear.

After securing an early takedown, the teen star chained together submission attempt after submission attempt, dominating the undefeated Brazilian through the bout’s first five minutes.

It was more of the same in the second round, with the finish coming late in the frame as Lee rained down ground strikes on a trapped and defenseless Souza.
