OWS veteran Nyrene “Neutron Bomb” Crowley comes from a family of athletes, and she grew up involved in many athletic pursuits including netball, rugby, track & field, and weightlifting. A natural competitor, she even won a junior gold medal at the New Zealand Weightlifting Championships as a teenager.
Crowley earned a degree in Communications from the Auckland University of Technology and settled into a role working for the government, but the competitive fire still burned within her. While attending a fitness boot camp to get in shape for a national-level rugby match, she was introduced to mixed martial arts and quickly became hooked, and she made her professional debut just six months later.
To pursue her martial arts dreams, Crowley gave up a stable life, quit her job, and moved to Thailand to train before eventually settling in at Bali MMA. She was then selected to compete in Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series, where she put on several impressive performances to earn her spot on the ONE Championship roster. Crowley has already set the lofty goal of becoming a World Champion within two years, and she is working diligently every day to make that dream a reality.
