Watch The Weigh-Ins & Hydration Tests For ONE SAMURAI 1
A historic fight week has reached a critical point. The elite field of martial artists set to compete at ONE SAMURAI 1 has one final box to check before the action can begin at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
The event takes place this Wednesday, April 29, but every athlete must successfully weigh in and pass their hydration tests to ensure they’re healthy and ready to compete at their absolute best.
Fans can watch the official ONE SAMURAI 1 Weigh-Ins & Hydration Tests by clicking the video below beginning at 10 a.m. Japan Standard Time on Tuesday, April 28.
Tokyo is in for a historic night. Four World Titles are on the line across kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and Muay Thai, headlined by one of the most anticipated rematches in ONE Championship history.
In the main event, Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon and Takeru “Natural Born Krusher” Segawa will meet for the second time – and the ONE Interim Flyweight Kickboxing World Title is up for grabs.
Their first encounter at ONE 172 in March 2025 lasted just 80 seconds, as Rodtang landed a pair of left hooks and dropped the hometown hero in stunning fashion. That result has haunted Takeru ever since. After winning his next bout and publicly announcing his plans to retire, the Japanese superstar made one final request: a rematch with “The Iron Man.”
Now, both men have everything to fight for. Takeru wants to even the score and leave the sport with ONE World Title gold around his waist. Meanwhile, Rodtang, who will be making his final appearance in ONE, has the chance to beat the beloved Japanese icon twice and finally achieve two-sport glory.
In addition, ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu makes his second World Title defense in front of his home crowd against the unrelenting Avazbek “Ninzya” Kholmirzaev.
Wakamatsu had a banner 2025, knocking out Brazilian legend Adriano Moraes to claim the vacant belt and then finishing ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Joshua “The Passion” Pacio in the second round. Now, he faces his most dangerous challenge yet in Kholmirzaev – a bigger flyweight who has defeated nearly all of his opponents and dreams of becoming Uzbekistan’s first MMA World Champion.
The ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title is also on the line, as inaugural kingpin Nadaka Yoshinari makes his first World Title defense against longtime rival Songchainoi Kiatsongrit. These two first met at a regional show in Tokyo back in April 2023, when Nadaka knocked the Thai down three times to claim a third-round TKO.
Since then, both men have bolstered their resumes and established themselves as the top names in ONE’s atomweight Muay Thai division. Nadaka won the inaugural belt last November to earn his 40th straight victory, while Songchainoi has racked up 10 wins on the ONE Friday Fights circuit. Three years later, they cross paths again on the biggest stage of their careers.
Plus, ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan “The General” Haggerty defends his gold against Yuki Yoza, who has spent the past year calling out the Londoner and backing it up.
Since joining ONE in April 2025, Yoza has handed Elbrus “The Samurai” Osmanov his first-ever loss, outclassed former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Petchtanong Petchfergus, and overwhelmed reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion “The Kicking Machine” Superlek. With his Team Vasileus stablemate Takeru set to retire, Yoza is hungry to position himself as “The Ace of ONE SAMURAI.”
The show will also feature the likes of three-time Glory Kickboxing World Champion Marat Grigorian, undefeated phenom Hyu Iwata, hometown darling Itsuki “Android 18” Hirata, and much more.
