The Inner Circle 31 Co-Main Event Results: Yamin Overcomes Aggressive Alexey Balyko In Three-Round Thriller
Yamin PK Saenchai showed tremendous resilience, fighting off the back foot to overcome Alexey Balyko by unanimous decision in the bantamweight kickboxing co-main event of The Inner Circle 31 on Friday, September 18, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Balyko pressed forward from the opening bell of this subscriber-exclusive card on live.onefc.com, lining up crisp one-twos while the Thai worked on counters, looking to plant the instep of his right foot across his opponent’s neck whenever an opening appeared.
The 33-year-old Russian ripped uppercuts and left hooks into the Thai’s head in the second, sending it snapping this way and that. Yamin kept reaching for his neck kick counter, but the dangerous Russian kept the fight close enough to neutralize the threat.
Balyko maintained his momentum in the third, lunging in with hooks from both sides as Yamin sidestepped and countered with clean punches. The PK Saenchai Muaythaigym product couldn’t shake his relentless opponent, but did enough on the scorecards to take the decision.
The outcome put Yamin back in the win column and nudged his all-striking record to 85-28.
Petsiam, Flores, And Gump Victorious
Two-division Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Petsiam T2A Waterubon extended his perfect promotional record to three in succession, grinding out a unanimous decision over Wang Zhongxian in a strawweight kickboxing clash between two immovable forces who refused to yield until the final bell. The victory nudged the 21-year-old’s record to 56-19.
In a women’s atomweight Muay Thai clash, Cynthia Flores claimed the promotional victory she had been chasing, outpointing Gabriele Moram by unanimous decision. The Phuket Fight Club standout earned the judges’ nod after three intense rounds of aggressive output, improving to 26-8.
Last but not least, 23-year-old Gump earned a split decision over Velihan Palit in a relentless bantamweight kickboxing clash that had both men trading in a back-and-forth war until the final bell. His resume now stands at 19-5.
