The Inner Circle 31 Main Event Result: Kiamran Nabati Emerges Victorious In Wild Firefight With Nontachai
Russian standout Kiamran Nabati delivered one of the most ferocious performances of his career, outpointing Nontachai Jitmuangnon by unanimous decision in the bantamweight Muay Thai main event of The Inner Circle 31 in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, September 18.
The Russian made good on his promise, bringing the fight straight to the Thai contender from the opening bell of this Asia primetime card, which streamed exclusively to subscribers at live.onefc.com.
A right hand shook Nontachai almost immediately, and the 31-year-old Archangel Michael product went on the attack – blitzing his opponent with punches, elbows, and knees and forcing the Jitmuangnon Gym warrior into the corner as he began to leak from his face.
Nontachai was no sitting target in the second round, however. The 27-year-old marched straight back into the fray, throwing step-in knees paired with punches that found their mark and damaged the Russian’s face. With both men wearing the scars of battle, they traded back and forth until Nabati began to edge the scorecards again with accurate, telling punches.
Both men gave everything they had in the third canto, standing in the center of the ring and firing off punches. Nabati went to the body with ripping hooks before finishing upstairs, but the Thai slugger was right in his face the entire time, trading with his dance partner right until the final bell.
The unanimous decision triumph improved Nabati’s record to 23-1. Immediately after, the Archangel Michael affiliate declared his readiness to run it back against newly crowned ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri – the man who handed him the lone blemish on his slate.
