ONE Championship Drums Up Support For A Good Cause With Havoline

ONE Championship, in conjunction with partner Havoline, conducted a charity drive as part of ONE: AGE OF DOMINATION on Friday, 2 December, at Manila’s Mall of Asia Arena.

Made from recycled authentic ONE Championship cage canvases from past events, specially handmade drums were available for purchase throughout the night.

All proceedings from the sale of these drums went directly to the St. John Bosco Technical School for underprivileged children in the Philippines. The funds will be used to help the school continue their incredibly inspiring work in providing free education for children in need.

Each unique drum was individually decorated by students from the school, as well as ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon Vera, ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard Folayang, and Filipino star Mark Striegl.

The drums were handmade by top artisans in Cebu, who worked day and night for a week using rattan found only on the Philippines’ Mindanao island.

“These children deserve their best chance to succeed in life,” said Vera. “We need more charity initiatives like this one to successfully put them through school. ”

Folayang, who understands the students’ plight having experienced it firsthand growing up, added: “When I was young, my parents borrowed money to put me through school because they knew the value of a good education.

“That’s why being able to help these children in any way I can is unbelievably dear to my heart, and I am proud to be a part of this cause.”
