8 Women Confirmed For ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix

ONE Championship has officially announced the start date and contenders for the biggest women’s mixed martial arts tournament in the world.

On Wednesday, ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirmed the eight fighters who will compete in the ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix, which will begin with the first round on 28 May.

The winner of this prestigious tournament will earn the right to challenge reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee for the World Title in November.

Among the participants are top-ranked atomweight contenders Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga (#1), Meng Bo (#2), and Stamp Fairtex (#5), as well as unbeaten rising stars Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat and Itsuki “Strong Heart Fighter” Hirata.

There are also some fresh faces in the mix, with the signing of America’s Alyse Anderson and South Korea’s Seo Hee Ham.

Recent ONE debutant Alyona Rassohyna rounds off the eight-person field.
