ONE Championship returns to the Japanese capital with the mammoth ONE 165: Superlek vs. Takeru blockbuster event this Sunday, January 28.
However, before the action gets underway at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, all the athletes must make things official at the ONE 165 Weigh-Ins & Hydration Tests.
First, the competitors must submit a hydration sample. If they pass, they can step onto the scale to make weight for their upcoming battles.
Fans can watch the official proceedings live by tuning in to the video below at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, January 26 (and in Asia, 10 a.m. JST on Saturday, January 27).
“The Kicking Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Takeru “The Natural Born Crusher” Segawa will top the bill in a huge clash for the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title.
Reigning king Superlek finds himself in incredible form. He has won his last 10 matches, including his most recent victory over ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon in September.
Japanese icon Takeru will make his long-awaited promotional debut in front of a home crowd, and as one of his nation’s greatest strikers, the 32-year-old wants to crown his legendary career with the biggest prize of all.
The global fan base can’t wait for two of this generation’s finest competitors to duke it out in a showdown that has all the makings of a classic.
More gold is on the line, as Kade Ruotolo and Tommy Langaker run back ONE’s best submission grappling bout of 2023 in the co-main event.
With Ruotolo’s ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Title on the line, the exciting BJJ stylists will once again showcase the best that their sport has to offer.
The American has looked untouchable on the global stage, but Langaker has raised his level since their initial meeting last June and wants to get his hands on the illustrious belt.
The supporting card is stacked with huge battles featuring some of the combat sports world’s most popular athletes.
